Watch and Pray, that you may not fall into temptation:
Greetings in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, May God's Grace and Peace be with you. I wanted to share with you what God has been impressing in my spirit as a Word for our day, and the days ahead. I pray that we as believers will heed it, hold fast to it, and that it becomes deeply ingrained in our core: hearts, minds and souls effecting change in our lifestyle.
I further pray that God's Word will quicken our hearts to become Spirit-minded, Eternity-minded, and Christ centered, "that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God." (Romans 8:4-8 ).
The 'theme' God has been impressing on my heart is found in various passages in Scripture. It is this: Watch and Pray. Both are essential if we are to stand in this evil day. We are to both 1). Watch (be sober, be alert, be awake), and 2) we are to become people of prayer. This is not something we should do haphazardly or seldom but continuously. I believe this is what the Scripture means by "praying without ceasing." I have no doubt that if we zealously seek to embody "watchfulness and prayer" into our lifestyle, we will be powerful, warriors for the Kingdom of God, and be victorious!
The following two scriptures really bring out the urgency of these twin weapons, in our armor for engaging in spiritual warfare.
First, in His letter to the Ephesians, Paul writes,
"praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saintsEphesians 6:18
God's Divine Power has truly given "to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these we may be partakers of the Divine Nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." (2 Peter 1:3-4).
God's word for such a time as this, "the evil day" described in Paul's letter to the Ephesians, "Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Ephesians 6:13) is to take up the whole armor of God, In fact Paul repeats this statement, "Put on the whole armor of God" twice (In Eph 6:11, and Eph 6:13).
In verses 14 - 18 we find a list of the components of our spiritual armor:

1). The belt of Truth, that is fidelity, honesty, faithfulness (Pro 12:22; Ex 20:16; Deu 5:20; Ex 23:1,7; Pr 12:19; 13:5; 14:25; 19:5,9; Eph 4:25; Rev 22:14-15; Zec 8:16; Ps 15:1-5; 51:6; 145:18; Pr 23:23; Jer 4:2; 5:1; Zec 7:9; 8:3,19; Mal 2:6; Isa 59:14-15; Isa 48:1; Jer 5:3; 7:28; 9:3).

2). The breastplate of Righteousness, that is, The fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-26; 2 Peter 1:5-11; Romans 13:14; Isa 61:10; Job 29:14; Ps 132:9,16; Zec 3:3-5; Mt 22:1-14; Mt 17:2 pp Mk 9:3; Lk 9:29; 2 Co 5:2-4; Rev 3:4-5; Rev 3:18; 4:4; 6:11; 7:9; 19:8; Psalms 109:19; Isaiah 59:17; Luke 12:35; Romans 13:12, 1 Thess 5:8; Gal 3:27; 5:16; Eph 4:24; Col 3:10, 12; 1 Peter 2:11; 1 John 2:16).
