In Genesis we see the origin of all things, both good and bad.
In Genesis we see the origin of all things, both good and bad.
It is impossible for us to understand our purpose without understanding our origin. Origin determines purpose.
Not only are we told how God created everything but why He created everything.
When God creates something He also determines the the order and function of His creation.

We simply play supporting roles in God’s story, the Bible.
Jesus is the perfect image of God and everything was created by Him and for Him.
Jesus is the perfect image of God and everything was created by Him and for Him.
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
