Chosen for Healing

John 5:1–9 NKJV

1 After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 2 Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. 3 In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. 4 For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. 5 Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” 7 The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” 8 Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” 9 And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath.

1) Have you ever been sick?

when I ask “have you ever been sick?” i’m not asking if you have ever had a cold or a flue, I'm asking have you ever been paralysed?

John 5:5 NKJV

5 Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years.

This was physically paralysed. there are other ways to be paralysed!

you can be paralysed by your sin.

Hebrews 12:1 NKJV

1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

the lifestyle of sin can take us further than we want to go . Keep us longer than we want to stay. take from us more than we knew we had. Bishop Rob Nichols.

You can be paralysed by your past.

we can become Spiritually paralyzed by the shame of our past.

we can be paralyzed by what others have done.

we can be paralyzed by what others have done to us. as we are healed we will release others by our forgiveness. forgiveness is not saying what someone did to me. what I am Doing is saying God is the judge and he will deal with what was done to me.

as long as I release my judgement of a person, I realease that person from my Life.

I could Go on and on about it but the truth is, in one way or another we are all paralysed.

2) The Good news is Jesus has Chosen you to be healed.

John 5:6 NKJV

6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”

Satan is a lier and the father of lies.

John 8:44 NKJV

44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

there where other paralysed persons on the porch that day.

Jesus came for that one.

there are others under the sound of my voice that need the healing and wont come. that is not you!

your heart wants to come so bad and the reason that you are feeling the pull of the Holy Spirit is talking to you.

Maybe tonight is your night for salvation.

Maybe tonight is your night is for emotional healing.

maybe tonight is your night for physical healing.
