Lord and God, You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they were created and have their being. You adopted us as Your children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with Your pleasure and will. We pray that we may be active in sharing our faith, so that we will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.
Father, You said if anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of You, Who giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. Therefore, we ask in faith, nothing wavering, to be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.
Today we incline our ears unto wisdom, and we apply our hearts to understanding so that we might receive that which has been freely given unto us. In the name of Jesus, we receive skill and godly wisdom and instruction.
We discern and comprehend the words of understanding and insight. We receive instruction in wise dealing and the discipline of wise thoughtfulness, righteousness, justice, and integrity. Prudence, knowledge, discretion, and discernment are given to us.
We increase in knowledge. As persons of understanding, we acquire skill and attain to sound counsels [so that we may be able to steer our course rightly]. Wisdom will keep, defend, and protect us; we love her and she guards us. We prize Wisdom highly and exalt her; she will bring us to honor because we embrace her.
She gives to our heads wreaths of gracefulness; crowns of beauty and glory will she deliver to us. Length of days is in her right hand, and in her left hand are riches and honor. Jesus has been made unto us wisdom, and in Him are all the treasures of [divine] wisdom, [of comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God]; and [all the riches of spiritual] knowledge and enlightenment are stored up and lie hidden.
God has hidden away sound and godly wisdom and stored it up for us, for we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore, we will walk in paths of uprightness. When we walk, our steps shall not be hampered — our paths will be clear and open; and when we run, we shall not stumble.
We take fast hold of instruction and do not let her go; we guard her, for she is our life. We let our eyes look right on [with fixed purpose], and our gaze is straight before us. We consider well the path of our feet, and we let all our ways be established and ordered aright. Father, in the name of Jesus, we look carefully to how we walk! We live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as unwise and witless, but as a wise — sensible, intelligent — persons, making the very most of our time — buying up every opportunity.
Father, we thank You for creating within us wise and discerning hearts, so that we are able to distinguish between right and wrong. This is our prayer: that our love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that we may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ — to Your glory and praise, O Lord.
Father, we trust in You with all of our hearts and lean not on our own understanding; in all of our ways we acknowledge You, and You will make our paths straight.
Through Your precepts we get understanding; therefore, we hate every false way. Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Joseph was described as a discerning and wise man who was put in charge of the entire land of Egypt. As You were with Joseph, so shall You be with us.
We make [special] request, [asking] that we may be filled with the full (deep and clear) knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and in understanding and discernment of spiritual things — that we may walk (live and conduct ourselves ) in a manner worthy of You, Lord, fully pleasing to You and desiring to please You in all things, steadily growing and increasing in and by Your knowledge [with fuller, deeper, and clearer insight, acquaintance, and recognition]. Because Jesus has been made unto us wisdom, we listen and add to our learning; we discern and get guidance, understanding Your will.
Father, we ask You to give us a complete understanding of what You want to do in our lives and the ministry of Love Christian Center, and we ask You to make us wise with spiritual wisdom. Then the way we live will always honor and please You, and we will continually do good, kind things for others.
All the while, we will learn to know You better and better. We roll our works upon You, Lord, and You make our thoughts agreeable to Your will, so our plans are established and succeed. You direct our steps and make them sure. We understand and firmly grasp what the will of the Lord is for we am not vague, thoughtless, or foolish.
We stand firm and mature in spiritual growth, convinced and fully assured in everything willed by God. Father, You have destined and appointed us to come progressively to know Your will — that is to perceive, to recognize more strongly and clearly, and to become better and more intimately acquainted with Your will.
We thank You, Father, for the Holy Spirit Who abides permanently in us and Who guides us into all the truth — the whole, full truth — and speaks whatever He hears from the Father and announces and declares to us the things that are to come. We have the mind of Christ and hold the thoughts, feelings, and purposes of His heart. So, Father, we have entered into that blessed rest by adhering to, trusting in, and relying on You.
Father, in Jesus’ name, we thank You that You are instructing us in the way we should go and that You are guiding us with Your eye. We thank You for Your guidance and leading concerning Your will, Your plan, and Your purpose for Love Christian Center. We do hear the voice of the Good Shepherd, for we know You and follow You. You lead us in the paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake.
Thank You, Father, that our path is growing brighter and brighter until it reaches the full light of day. As we follow You, Lord, we believe our path is becoming clearer each day. Thank You, Father, that Jesus was made unto us wisdom.
Confusion is not a part of our ministry. We are not confused about Your will for Love Christian Center. We trust in You and lean not unto our own understanding. As we acknowledge You in all of our ways, You are directing our paths. We believe that as we trust in You completely, You will show us the path of life.
Father, Your Word says that we are partakers of the inheritance and treasures of heaven. You have delivered us out of the authority of darkness and translated us into the Kingdom of Your dear Son.
Father, where Your Word is there is light and, also, understanding. Your Word does not return to You void but always accomplishes what it is sent to do. We are joint-heirs with Jesus; and as Your people, we accept that the communication of our faith is effectual by the acknowledging of every good work that is in us in Christ Jesus.
Father, we commit our works to You, entrust them wholly to You. Since You are effectually at work in us, You cause our thoughts to become agreeable with Your will, so that the mission, vision and goals of Love Christian Center shall be established and succeed.
In the name of Jesus, we submit to every kind of wisdom, practical insight, and prudence, which You have lavished upon us in accordance with the riches and generosity of Your gracious favor. Father, we affirm that we obey Your Word by making disciples, preaching and teaching Your Word. In Your strength and according to Your grace, we provide for ourselves and our church. Thank You, Father, for making all grace, every favor and earthly blessing, come to us in abundance that we, having all sufficiency, may abound to every good work.
Father, thank You for the ministering spirits that You have assigned to go forth to bring in faithful church members. Jesus said, “You are the light of the world.” In His name our light shall so shine before all men that they may see our good works glorifying You.
We ask You for the wisdom and common sense we need to be vessels of honor, sanctified and fitting for Your use and prepared for every good work. We do not go in our own strength, but in the divine energy that You provide. It is our purpose to always be obedient to Your Word and Your will.
Thank You for Your love. We are imitators of You — walking in love, in truth, in light, and in wisdom inside and outside the walls of the building. We are well-balanced and enduring in all things. We ask You to anoint Your servants to teach and preach the Word of God in simplicity, with boldness and with accuracy. We ask that those who hear will not be able to resist the wisdom and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit that will be spoken through Your ministers of the Gospel. As Your Word is taught, we ask You to cause people to open their spiritual eyes and ears that they might turn from darkness to light — from the power of Satan to You, Father — and that they will personally confess Jesus as their Lord.
We are asking for and expecting the former and latter rains to be poured out on this ministry to fulfill Your assignments. You have called us by Your grace for such a time as this. We rejoice in the outpouring of Your Spirit and wisdom on this ministry.
We thank You, Father, and praise You that, because we have asked and agreed together, these petitions have come to pass. Let these words with which we have made supplication before the Lord be near to the Lord our God day and night, that He may maintain the cause and right of His people in Love Christian Center. May we always be doers of God’s Word. We have God’s wisdom, and we draw it forth with prayer.
In the name of Jesus, amen.
