Father, Your Word declares that if we ask for forgiveness, You will forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Help us to believe; help us to receive our forgiveness for past and present sins. Help us to forgive ourselves.
We confess Jesus as our Lord and believe in our hearts that You raised Him from the dead, and we are saved. Father, Your Son, Jesus, said that whatever we ask for in prayer, having faith and really believing, we will receive. Lord, we believe; help our unbelief.
Father, we count ourselves blessed, how happy we are — we get a fresh start, our slates wiped clean. We count ourselves blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied). You, Father, are holding nothing against us, and You’re not holding anything back from us.
When we keep it all inside, our bones turn to powder, and our words become daylong groans. The pressure never lets up; all the juices of our lives dry up. We are letting it all out; we are saying once and for all that we are making a clean breast of our failures to You, Lord.
In the face of this feeling of guilt and unworthiness, we receive our forgiveness, and the pressure is gone — our guilt dissolved, our sin disappeared. We are blessed, for You have forgiven our transgressions — You have covered our sins. We are blessed, for You will never count our sins against us. Father, You chose us [actually picked us out for Yourself as Your very own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for You), blameless in Your sight, even above reproach, before You in love. In Jesus we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses), in accordance with the riches and the generosity of Your gracious favor.
Lord, we have received Your Son, Jesus; we believe in His name, and He has given us the right to become Your children. We acknowledge You, Lord, as our Father. Thank You for forgiving us and absolving us of all guilt. We are overcomers by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimonies.
Father, on the authority of Your Word, we declare and decree that we are new creations in Christ. We repent of our former sins, receive Your forgiveness, and renew our minds — replacing old thought patterns and habits with Your thoughts and plans for us. We were sinners, separated, (living apart) from Christ. But now in Christ Jesus, our Lord, we have been brought near through the blood of Christ.
We confess that Jesus is our Lord and believe in our hearts that You raised Him from the dead. Therefore, we are engrafted in Christ (the Messiah). Now, today, we are new creations (new creatures altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual conditions] have passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!
Since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, His body, and since we have a great Priest over the house of God, we draw near to You, Lord, with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
We hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He Who promised is faithful. And we consider how we may spur others on toward love and good deeds. We will not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing; but we will encourage others, and all the more as we see the Day approaching.
Father, we are Your children, and You have poured out Your Spirit upon us, we seek (aim at and strive after) first of all Your Kingdom and Your righteousness (Your way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given us besides. We will not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble. As Your children, we thank You for enduing us with Your grace.
With You, Father, nothing is ever impossible, and no word from You shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment. Father, we submit to Your will for our lives and our church. Your ways are higher than our ways; Your thoughts higher than our thoughts.
We commit our ways to You, and You will cause our thoughts to become agreeable to Your will, and so shall our plans be established and succeed. We are Your servants; let Your will be done in us according to Your Word. Since we have such a huge crowd of men and women of faith watching us from the grandstands, we strip off anything that slows us down or holds us back, and especially those sins that wrap themselves so tightly around our feet and trip us up; and we run with patience the particular race that You have set before us. We keep our eyes on Jesus, our Leader and Instructor.
Father, to the pure You show Yourself pure, and to the willful You show Yourself willful. The afflicted people You will deliver, but Your eyes are upon the haughty, whom You will bring down. For You, O Lord, are our Lamp; You, Lord lighten our darkness. For by You we run through a troop; by You we leap over a wall. As for You, Lord, Your way is perfect; Your Word is tried. You are our Shield, for we trust and take refuge in You. O Father, that we might ascend the hill of the Lord and stand in Your Holy Place.
We come with clean hands and a pure heart, refusing to lift up our souls to an idol or swear by what is false, that we may receive blessing and vindication from You, our God and our Savior. Surely, Lord God, You are good to those who are pure in heart.
Father, we consecrate this fast to You and set our minds to gain understanding in the matters and direction You have ordained for Love Christian Center and its growth for which we are concerned. We humble ourselves before You, Most High God. In accordance with Your Word, we will eat no meat or sweets nor drink alcohol for the period of 21 days and on those days we will abstain from all food and beverages except water from 6:00 a.m. till noon.
We obey the words of Jesus by putting on festive clothing, so that no one will suspect that we are fasting.
Father, You know every secret, and we look to You for our reward. We are assured that You hear us when we pray according to Your will, and we know that we shall have the petitions that we desire of You.
Father, we delight ourselves in You, and You cause our desires to be agreeable with Your will. We choose the fast You have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke. Then our lights will break forth like the dawn, and our healing will quickly appear; then our righteousness will go before us, and Your glory, Lord, will be our rear guard.
Father, thank You for cleansing us — spirit, soul, and body. All our ways seem innocent to us, but our motives are weighed by You, our Lord and our Master. We commit this fast to You, and our plans will succeed. We thank You that it is You Who gives the wise answer of the tongue. Forever, O Lord, Your Word stands firm in heaven. Your faithfulness extends to every generation, like the earth You created; it endures by Your decree, for everything serves Your plans.
Father, today we make a commitment to You in the name of Jesus. We turn from speaking idle words and foolishly talking things that are contrary to our true desire to ourselves and toward others. Your Word says that the tongue defiles, that the tongue sets on fire the course of nature, that the tongue is set on fire of hell.
In the name of Jesus, we submit to godly wisdom that we might learn to control our tongues. We are determined that hell will not set our tongues on fire. We renounce, reject, and repent of every word that has ever proceeded out of our mouths against You, God, and Your operation.
We cancel its power and dedicate our mouths to speak excellent and right things. Our mouths shall utter truth. Because we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, we set the course of our lives for obedience, for abundance, for wisdom, for health, and for joy.
Set a guard over our mouths, O Lord; keep watch over the door of our lips. Then the words of our mouths and our deeds shall show forth Your righteousness and Your salvation all of our days.
We purpose to guard our mouths and our tongues that we might keep ourselves from calamity. Father, Your Words are top priority to us. They are spirit and life. We let the Word dwell in us richly in all wisdom. The ability of God is released within us by the words of our mouths and by the Word of God.
We speak Your Words out of our mouths. They are alive in us. You are alive and working in us. So, we can boldly say that our words are words of faith, words of power, words of love, and words of life. They produce good things because we choose Your Words for our lips, and Your will for our lives and for Love Christian Center.
Father, Your Word says that You hate a proud look, that You resist the proud but give grace to the humble. We submit ourselves, therefore, to You, God. In the name of Jesus, we resist the devil, and he will flee from us.
We renounce every manifestation of pride in our lives as sin; we repent and turn from it. As an act of faith, we clothe ourselves with humility and receive Your grace. We humble ourselves under Your mighty hand, Lord, that You may exalt us in due time. We refuse to exalt ourselves. We do not think of ourselves more highly than we ought; we do not have an exaggerated opinion of our own importance, but rate our abilities with sober judgment, according to the degree of faith apportioned to us.
Proverbs 11:2 says, “When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.” Father, we set ourselves to resist pride when it comes. Our desire is to be counted among the lowly, so we take on the attitude of servants. Father, thank You that You dwell with one who is of a contrite and humble spirit. You revive the spirit of the humble and revive the heart of the contrite one. Thank You that the reward of humility and the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.
Father we thank You for all that You are going to do as a result of this fast and prayer,
In Jesus name I pray, Amen
