The importance of the doctrine

 There is a lot of confusion

 Many believers have problems making decisions

Some of the aspects of the doctrine

 Volition cannot be understood by itself

o Divine will

o Satanic will

o Human will

 The order is significant

o Reflects chronology

o It reflects superiority

Generalizations on the will

 Human will is not free like Adam’s was

 Human will is not free in the sense that men can will as they please

 God does not desire to break man’s will

 The will of man must be seen in terms of a responder

o Response to Satan

o Response to God

o Response to our sin nature
