Lord, Do It Again
Lord, Do It Again
32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
35 And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.
The church is more than a building
The church is more than a building
The Church
++Is a people that believed
What did they believe?
What did they believe?
They believed
++The message of Christ
++The Kingdom of God had come
++They were members of that kingdom
The generosity of this people showed
++A change of priority
++A new value set
++People Mattered to them
We are living in the last days
We are living in the last days
Perilous times
Perilous times
Men have become
++Lovers of the own selves
++Covetous
++Boasters
++Proud
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
We have learned
++Even when we are bad _We are good_
++Even when we are wrong _We are right_
9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
We live in an age where
++Crime pays
++Sin is accepted
++Violence rewarded
++Devalue authority noble
Henry David Thoreau, wrote an essay on civil disobedience. He spoke of it as a duty. He was a humanist
A humanist is an ideology that believes that man, not God, was his primary concern
This humanistic ethic, or Idea says that
Biblical Answers to Tough Questions The Influence of Henry David Thoreau
everybody should do his own thing in his own way without blame.
20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; That put darkness for light, and light for darkness; That put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
We must be clear in our message.
We must be clear in our message.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
6 And said to the judges, Take heed what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for the Lord, who is with you in the judgment.
7 Wherefore now let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.
Today there is no fear of the Lord.
Today there is no fear of the Lord.
32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

The Church
Is a people that believed
++Were of one heart & soul
They saw through the walls
They saw through the walls
Today we still deal with walls
Walls of
++Judgment
++Bias
Somethings salvation doesn’t change
Somethings salvation doesn’t change
Through salvation
++Hearts are changed
++A new life begins
The walls of our life
++We must pull down
++We must take captive
++We must deal with
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
They left no doubt
++Witnessed with great power
++Witnessed by great grace
++Everyone experienced it

The Church

Were of one heart & soul
++Were recipients of grace
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Jesus provided access
++By faith
++To this grace
In this grace
++We stand in hope
++We rejoice in hope
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
The enemy of our soul is at his old tricks again
The enemy of our soul is at his old tricks again
He wants to steal
++Our hope
++Our Joy
This joy that I have the world didn’t give it to me.....
I have not seen him.. but I know He is there
Sometimes I don’t feel him but I know He is there
8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
My hope and my rejoicing is
++Not based on a feeling
++Not base on emotion
++Not based on the economy
++Not based on identity
My hope is in Jesus
My hope is in Jesus

7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
Lord, Do it Again
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Jesus declares
++I make all things new
++I will quench your thirst
++I will be your God
++You shall be my son
++It is done
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
