Good morning Church, we are continuing on with our End of Days series, as we are looking deep into the Word of God. This morning we are going to look at the past in order to see the future. History always repeats itself as the Word of God proclaims that there is nothing new under the sun.
It has always been God’s will to rule the world through a man, and the devil the great counterfeit also desires to rule the world through one man. You see the devil has no original thought, He just simply takes the things that the Almighty comes up with. Last week we had a brief introduction to the person described in scripture as the Man of Sin- or the son of perdition. And what I would like to do is to take a time out from the book of Revelation and go all the way to the first book the Book of Genesis
1. Two books the devil hates is Genesis and Revelation- in Genesis his doom is prophesied and the book of Genesis his doom was realised. And we are going to be in chapter 10-11 of Genesis as today we read about the first ruler, the first shadow of the anti-Christ
In chapter 10 we see the progenitors of of nations. I told you a couple of weeks ago when I was dealing with racism that we all came from one of Noahs sons. The difference in our skin is melanin. Well we are goiing to see the first picture that the Word of God paints for us of the fist Anti-Christ
But there are a couple of other things that will be key for you to pick up if you are going to understand the last days. And that is the importance of the city of babylon- when we get to the later chapters of Revelation we will read about Babylon- the Mystery of Babylon, and you need to see how she is the mother of false religions, and when you are dealing with false religions you are dealing with demonism. You will not understand the horrors of the last days unless you understand the influence that demons will have on men, women, boys and girls. You need to be equipped in spiritual warfare.

We will read a few passwsages out of Genesis 10, and then we will skip down to the passages in Genesis 11.
8 Cush fathered Nimrod; he was the first on earth to be a mighty man. 9 He was a mighty hunter before the Lord. Therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before the Lord.” 10 The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. 11 From that land he went into Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah, and 12 Resen between Nineveh and Calah; that is the great city.
Here you have the first city builder among men. He was the first of the men to be a mighty man
1 Now the whole earth had one language and the same words. 2 And as people migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. 3 And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly.” And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.” 5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built. 6 And the Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another’s speech.” 8 So the Lord dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. 9 Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth. And from there the Lord dispersed them over the face of all the earth.

He is a type, a picture, a prophecy of the Antichrist who is to come

Now this man Nimrod when scripture says he was a mighty hunter before the Lord, it does not mean that he was a great Hunter of game. He was a mighty hunter of men’s souls. And he was arrogant about it. And when it says a mighty hunter before the Lord. It means that he was arrogant about it. In the face of God.
Every one of these anti Christ figures are marked with arrogance and demonic hostility. In the book of Daniel is the seventh chapter we read about the Anti-Christ and he is depicted as a horn on a beast that represents the revitalized Roman empire
8 I considered the horns, and behold, there came up among them another horn, a little one, before which three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots. And behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking great things.
And this little horn, this man of sin is speaking great things, arrogant things. He is defying the God of Heaven.
And that is what this man nimrod is doing he is leading a rebellion, a great apostacy against the god of heaven.

This man, this tyrant, this rebel against the Lord whose name means let us rebel and who is known as a mighty hunter of the souls of men and is in the face of God is the one that laid the foundations for the infamous city of Babylon which we will get to in a second, but Babylon is known as the cradle of all apostacy, all false religion. In fact all the pagan, western or Eastern false religions find its birthplace here in Babylon.
What is he doing? He wants to rule and reign. He is building himself a throne. He is leading a rebellion against the God of Heaven and he has the Whole world united in that rebellion. Look at Genesis 11

Do you remember last week we read from 2 Thessalonians and Paul told them that the Day of the Lord would not come unless the rebellion come first- the aposticia, a united front by mankind rebelling against the God of the bible.
Now notice in verse 1

Not only were they speaking the same language but they had the same words. umm they were of the same mindset, they were in united rebellion against God. They said let us make a name for ourselves. Let us make a structure whose top is dedicated to the heavens
4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.”

Now the name of this city was the name Babel

Babel means “Gate to God” and what were they doing they were building a mighty structures
Zodiacs have been found on top of these ancient ziggurats. That’s what these towers were called in Babylon, where they there worshipped the stars. What is this man doing and what are these builders doing? They are building a structure known as a ziggurat and this structure they are naming it the gate to God.
As a kid I would read this passage and I would think to myself how in the world are they going to build a strructure big enough to go all the way into heaven. But that is not what it means. The King James translates this portion of scriture build a structure whose top may reach into heaven. But that is a mistransaltion.
The more literal meaning is whose top in the heavens that is they were building a ziggurat who archeologist have found zodiacs in was dedicated too the stars.
This is the first known form of witchcraft.
astrologos is where we get the word astrology. Astra means star- logos means word
They were building a ziggurat with platforms for the magicians, their witches, their sooth sayers could go out and find the Word of the stars
The problem is in Psalms 19 the stars reveal the glory of God and his word revelas Gods word to them
Legend tells us that the Wife of Nimrod was named Simaramus. And she is the one accredited with introducing the people of the world to false religion, to demon worship. Later she would be turned into a deity known as the quenn of heaven and she is found in nearly every false religion.
In Assyria she wa known as Ishtar
the Phonecians called her Astarte, the
Israelites knew her as the god Ashtoreth.
The Greeks worshiped her as Aphrodite
The Romans knew her as Venus
She became the god of love or lust. In the early days of Christianity these Temples dedicated to this woman were known for their temple prositution
And Babylon throughout all of scripture is known as a place of spiritual whoredom. In the Book of Revelation Babylon is described as the mother of all Whores
4 The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her sexual immorality. 5 And on her forehead was written a name of mystery: “Babylon the great, mother of prostitutes and of earth’s abominations.”
Babylon is known in Revelation as haveing a two fold system,
First she is know Ecclisiastically- that is that all false religion find their existence coming from her womb and two she is an ecconomic system

Now understand this that the spirit of Babylon is still with us today. In fact she is seducing our younger generations with her abominations, luring her kids into her witchcraft today. That is why it is important that you understand spiritual warfare. Because there is all kinds of demonic activity around her. That is the reason why it is getting ioncreasingly difficult to share Christ with people todayt, Because they have become intoxicated with her abominations
Witchcraft and pagan religious practices increased in the U.S. over the past few decades, with Millennials turning to alternatives ranging from astrology and tarot cards and away from Christianity and traditionally dominant Abrahamic religions.
The number of witches and Americans practicing Wicca religious rituals increased dramatically since the 1990s, with several recent studies indicating there may be at least 1.5 million witches across the country. A Trinity College study conducted in 1990 estimated only about 8,000 Wiccans in the U.S., but the increase has been led by a rejection of mainstream Christianity among young Americans as well as a rise in occultism.
With 1.5 million potential practicing witches across the U.S., witchcraft has more followers than the 1.4 million mainline members of the Presbyterian church.Data collected by the Pew Research Center and Trinity College in Connecticut show witchcraft and pre-Christian traditions have been revitalized by young adults, Quartz noted. Millennials are seeking more freedom in their spirituality and interest in astrology and tarot card readings have spiked in recent years.
Millennials, celebrities, and even critics of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh have embraced the "witch aesthetic" over more repressive Christian beliefs, Quartz reported.
"From 1990 to 2008, Trinity College in Connecticut ran three large, detailed religion surveys," said Quartz. "Those have shown that Wicca grew tremendously over this period. From an estimated 8,000 Wiccans in 1990, they found there were about 340,000 practitioners in 2008."
The Trinity College data also revealed there were about 340,000 Pagans in the country in 2008. The Pew Research Center, which has long pointed out the ongoing decline in U.S. Protestant and Catholic membership, released a June survey which found adults under 40 are far less likely to say religion is "very important" in their lives.
"It makes sense that witchcraft and the occult would rise as society becomes increasingly postmodern. The rejection of Christianity has left a void that people, as inherently spiritual beings, will seek to fill," author Julie Roys said in comments emailed to The Christian Post last month.
"Plus, Wicca has effectively repackaged witchcraft for millennial consumption," Roys continued. "No longer is witchcraft and paganism satanic and demonic, it's a 'pre-Christian tradition' that promotes 'free thought' and 'understanding of earth and nature."

In the begining chapters of the Bibel Satan tried to unite all the world against God and his plan hasnt changed. Even today out of the mouth of many politicians we keep hearing about a New World order. The idea that the world is getting to big and too connected, that the old things like religions and values that used to unite us are now the things that are seperating us. In the last days there will be a United World under the antichrist

Now many of today’s liberals are one-worlders first; they are Americans second. Now this is not by chance. This is well thought out. Have you ever heard of the humanists? Just this last week we have seen the the city of Seatle overrun by anarchists and thugs.

Crime will skyrocket, violence will increase and it will all be place on President Trump. Before long there will be a call for the Consitution to be suspended. And the citizens disarmed, polititcal disedents to be incarcerated…
