The Early Church displayed Unity

Acts 4:32 KJV 1900
And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
Unity within the Church or the body of Christ or family of God is a powerful thing.
This is
Oneness
heart
soul
selfishness

Great Power Comes Through Unity

Acts 4:33–34 KJV 1900
And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
Power, Grace comes to everyone when we are one
No lack

An Example of Comfort

Acts 4:36–37 KJV 1900
And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus, Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

Barnabas

Barnabas was named Joses but most people knew him by Barnabas.
Wanda was her name but most knew her by Kris
He was a Levite, he came from a great tribe.
Kris came from a great family
Ms. Ann Tisdale - was a nurturer not just to her own but to others
He was of the country of Cyprus.
Kris was from the South Side
We had our differences but what we had in common was greater
He was called the son of consolation
His presence was beneficial for others
Consolation = comfort
Comfort is needed when we face times of difficult

He gave what we had to help others.
Wanda Kris Tisdale was like her mother - she showed her support through consolation
She work for the attorney - so those who see an attorney are not always feeling chipper - they have some issues - although they came for legal advice and support - they needed some comfort - even if the case wasn’t won - they needed comfort
When Sister Tracey was called home - her children needed comfort - the grandkids needed comfort - The Lord used Kris to step in the gap
Even at First Baptist - Kris may not have been as active as others - but when someone asked for her support - She gave what she had
All I’m trying to say is
If I can help somebody as I pass along
If I can cheer somebody
If I can show somebody
