The Overcoming Life

1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV 1900
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
First Corinthians 10:13 provides two areas of truth that must be embraced and applied if the Christian is going to experience continual victory in their life.
1. A customized Provision of escape
2. Qualified Principles that must be met

The Christian MUST learn to ALWAYS take the way of escape to experience the overcoming life.

I. A Customized Provision for Escape-page 88

Note-God will customize the way of escape according to the temptation that you are facing.

We basically face temptation that comes from the world, the flesh and the devil:
1 John 2:15–17 KJV 1900
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
There are three specific “approaches” the world, the flesh and the devil will use to try and trap the Christian. Which of these specific approaches are being use will determine which “escape ramp” or customized provisions that we will use to overcome this temptation.
