What Are You Waiting For?

Quotes from unknown writer's.
“One of the greatest labor saving inventions of today is tomorrow.”
“He who hesitates is last.”
‘When there is a hill to climb, don’t thank that waiting will make it smaller.”
If it weren’t for the last minute I wouldn’t get anything done.”
“Hard work pays off later, laziness pays off no. I’ve always been one for being in the moment.”
“Procrastination always gives you something to look forward to.”
“Procrastination is like a credit card, it’s fun until you get the bill.”
“I like work, it fascinates me. I can sit and look at it all hours.”
We live in a day, where we can put things off until tomorrow, and can uselessly justify it. Like
1. Avoid bill collectors.
2. Take out the trash.
3. Washing the car.
4. Mowing the lawn.
5. Giving the dog a bath.
We can procrastinate all we what. Put things off for months. The problem with putting things off is the longer we put things off in stead of dealing with them now is things will start to pile up and things will get out of control.
1. Avoid a bill collector, they want go away, they will just garnish your pay check.
2. If you don’t take out the trash, it will simply pile up and make your house stink, and bring in bugs, which will make you pay for an exterminator.
3. If you don’t wash your car, people will start writing “Wash Me Please” on you car with there finger. unless you own a Ford, because the dirt is the only thing holding it together.
4. If you don’t mow your yard, then it will start looking like a jungle.
5. If you don’t give your dog a bath, it will start stinking and your wife will make you sleep with it.
Procrastinating or putting those things off on thing, isn’t a matter of life or death.
But, when procrastinate on the things of the Lord. People could spend a eternity in Hell.
Pray.
This was not the message I was going to bring to y’all this morning.
You can ask the ladies who came to the Crowning Jewels.
I had it finished and type up, ready to go.
I have a heavy heart this morning, I got up at 4am this morning, to work on this message.
I was up half the night praying, and the rest trying to help my granddaughter to go to sleep with a broken collarbone.
I was up asking myself am I failing Faith Bible Baptist Church.
Am I the right spiritual leader for this church.
What can I do better, how make things more interesting, How can I help this church grow like God wants us to be?
I came up with the answer. it was simple. “I CAN’T”
My job is to inspire you too, want to do more for the Lord.
My job is to leader you, by example.
My job is to care for the flock.
My job is to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples out of you.
My job is to oversee the matters of the church and its member.
My job is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, so the Holy Spirit of God will convict the hearts of men, women, and children.
My job is not to do every job and everything at Faith Bible Baptist Church.
If you have your Bibles, (Hold The Up High). Turn to the Book of Matthew 25:14-30.
Matthew 25:14–30 KJV 1900
14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. 15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. 16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. 17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. 18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. 20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. 23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. 26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. 28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

I. Every Born Again Christian Is Given A Talent or Talents From God, When They Get Saved.

You may be given one or you may be given more.
It’s up to you to use them.
And how you use them.
When you come to Bible study especially on Sunday Nights.
I have been teaching everyone a skill, to improve on a talent that every Born Again Christ who has accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior has.
And what is that Skill, I’ve been teaching?
Evangelism
How to Witnessing
How to Knocking on doors
How to invite others to church.
We where ready to put what we learned into action Saturday.
To go door to door.
Invite people to our church.
Hand out flyers, and information about the church.
To invite people to our Revival.
And we need real revival right now!
The city of Pine Bluff needs revival.
The state of Arkansas needs revival.
This country needs revival.
This world needs revial
And we need it right now.
I can say my heart was broken yesterday, during visitation.
Do You know how many showed up?
Ladies that where here for Crowing Jewels can answer you that.
How many ladies where at Crowning Jewels?
How many men where at Band of Brothers?
I understand people have to work.
I understand some of us are dealing with family matters.
I understand emergencies come up and things happen.
What I don’t understand why God’s priorities are always put on the back burner.
How many of you will stand and say I love Faith Bible Baptist Church with all their heart?
How many of you will stand and say I love God, His Son Jesus Christ, and our comforter the Holy Spirit?
How many of you will stand and say I willing to do whatever the Lord wants me to do no matter what?
Before you stand up, you better listen to what I’m asking.
Regular church attendance.
Band of Brothers for the men.
Crowing Jewels for the women.
Sunday School.
Morning Worship.
Evening Bible Study.
Wednesday Night Bible Study.
Joy Ministry.
Saturday Night Jubilee.
Visitation every time we have it.
All Revivals and special events.
How many of you will say, I want this church to grow and succeed and do God's work?

II. This Is Why I Feel I’m Failing.

No participation.
No one is fully committed in our ministries.
Excuses for everything I try to do.
So here is the deal.
Either I’m not the right person to be pastor at Faith Bible Baptist Church.
My leadership is not what it should be.
Or we have a bunch of selfish, self-centered individual that just want to play church.
If you want to play church, then by all means play church.
But, don’t stand up and tell me you want to do God’s work, you want to see people get saved.
You want to see the church grow.
I have more respect for a person who will just say, “Don’t count on me pastor, I happy sitting in my pew.”
Then one that says, Amen preacher, I’m behind you, all you have to do is call me and I will be there.
And no show up at all.
I can tell you my heart is broken, my spirit is broken, I’m physically and mentally tired.
I’m worried about everyone in this church.
I’m worried about my family.
I’m worried about my friends.
I’m worried about this up coming Revival.
I’m worried about our seminary classes starting tomorrow.
I’m worried about my wives employment.
Most importantly I'm worried that I’m disappointing my Lord and failing this church.
We need real revival in this church.
We need to get our exciters on.
We need to walk down this isle and rededicate our lives to God.
We as a church are failing, you can tell by the attendance and our offerings.
Myself I’m failing as your pastor, the altar is dried up, and my preaching is not stirring up.
You’er failing to measure up as born again Christian, by your testimonies, by your actions, not participating in church services, visitation and other events.

III. The Question is What Are We Going To Do About It?

If you believe that I’m doing a bad job, not leading like I should, and failing Faith Bible Baptist Church.
Then tell me now and I’ll resign as pastor today!
If you believe that why are all being selfish and self-center, putting others matter before doing God’s work.
Then I ask, that you come down this isle and rededicate your life to the Lord Jesus Christ and His work.
If you want to see real church growth, walk this isle and pray God will give you guidance on how to do it.
What on Earth are you waiting For!
