John 13:33–35 NKJV
33 Little children, I shall be with you a little while longer. You will seek Me; and as I said to the Jews, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come,’ so now I say to you. 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Last Week I preached on not forgetting where we come from, How we need to have patience with the children with the new born believers allowing the sanctification process to grow within their life. The week before I preached on The struggle of life but How big God is how he is able to overcome all these struggles but today I want to talk to you about Love what is is to Love , Why is it important, what difference can love make
We See that Love Is a commandment of our Lord Jesus
John 14:15 NKJV
15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments.
How many times did he say love one another in our opening scripture 3 times we ought to pay attention He says by this we shall know that we are His By our love towards one another, How is your love is is warm and flowing or has it grown cold and bitter
Jesus says if we love him then we keep his commandments
1 John 4:7–10 NKJV
7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
2. What is not Love?
Well Lets Look at 1 Corinthians chapter 13
1 Corinthians 13 NKJV
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. 4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. 13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:4 NIV
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
1 Corinthians 13:5 NASB95
5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,
Proverbs 25:20–24 ESV
20 Whoever sings songs to a heavy heart is like one who takes off a garment on a cold day, and like vinegar on soda. 21 If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink, 22 for you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you. 23 The north wind brings forth rain, and a backbiting tongue, angry looks. 24 It is better to live in a corner of the housetop than in a house shared with a quarrelsome wife.
Proverbs 16:28 NKJV
28 A perverse man sows strife, And a whisperer separates the best of friends.
a few weeks ago I was preaching about pride I went over things the Lord hates I want to cover them again
Proverbs 6:16–19 NKJV
16 These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: 17 A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, 18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, 19 A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.
One who sows discord amongst the bretheren
Why AM i HAMMING THIS HOME YOU MAY ASK?
Because If we are going to make a difference if we are going to reach the lost it must be by love it must be genuine we must be different than that of all the other churches they have experienced we cannot be the traditional american church we must be the God led Holy spirit filled loved by God loving one another Kind of church I preach this to prepare the Soil to make ready for the harvest to break the ground because God is changing me he is changing this church he is changing you , We Must Love each other we cannot be like most churches in America filled with Gossip Back Biting but instead filled with love ad peace
This is non negotiable Jesus said this is my Commandment That you love one another as I have loved you
He said If you love me you will keep my commandments
The Bible has allot to say about the traditional American church and Why it is dead or dieing for the Lord hates those who sow discord amongst the brethren this is what so many churches have become
3. Be careful about Gossip and Backbiting they are not of God
James 4:11–12 NKJV
11 Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. 12 There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?
Psalm 15:1–3 NKJV
1 Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? 2 He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart; 3 He who does not backbite with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend;
2 Corinthians 12:20 NKJV
20 For I fear lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I wish, and that I shall be found by you such as you do not wish; lest there be contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, backbitings, whisperings, conceits, tumults;
4. Paul was Not afraid of Church disciple in Fact he believed that as we talked about a couple of weeks ago that things must be made known for healing to take place that the darkness must be illuminated by the Word before restoration
Look how he handles a quarrel amongst the woman in the Church of Phillipi
Philippians 4:2–3 NKJV
2 I implore Euodia and I implore Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord. 3 And I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.
He called them out in public so much that their names are still known to us today because of their foolish quarrel.
So Let us not be quarrelsome amungst ourselves but instead lets love one another with genuine affection genuine love for Christ first loved us.
5. What can Love do for us?
One God Intended for us to have a vertical relationship with Him filled with Love and affection and service to Him, But He also intended us to have a horizontal relationship with others in our live filled with the same kind of love and affection and service by doing this we honor his commandment of Loving him and loving one another
Matthew 25:35–40 NKJV
35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
Colossians 3:14 NKJV
14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
1 Peter 4:8 NKJV
8 And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”
1 John 4:7–11 NKJV
7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
John 15:9–10 NKJV
9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

Ephesians 2:5–9 NKJV
5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Wont you let God Give it to God Today Give Him your Anger Give Him your Pain let him wash you let Him take the pain He Loves You he desires to make you whole he desires to make you clean he desires to Give you life and give it abudantly

Romans 10:9–10 NKJV
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
