Daniel had a good tesimony around the unsaved
Daniel 6:1-5,
1 It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;2 And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.4 Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.5 Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.
I) Daniel had a excellent Spirit in him.
A. This means he was a Spirit fill man.
B. The King had such confidence in him that he placed Daniel next to himself in position and power.
C. Philippians 2:15, That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
D. Acts 24:16, Therefore I always exercise and discipline myself [mortifying my body, deadening my carnal affections, bodily appetites, and worldly desires, endeavoring in all respects] to have a clear (unshaken, blameless) conscience, void of offense toward God and toward men.
E. Someone has said that a conscience is something that only a good man can enjoy.
II) The presidents and princes sought to find occasion against him.
A. They could not find anything in his life.
1. He did not steal pens, paper clips, or whatever people can steal today at their work.
B. They knew that if they where going to get at Daniel it would have to be through his God.
2. They knew how faithful he was to God and they were going to use it against him.
3. So here is what they did -------------.
III) The presidents and princes could not find any fault with Daniel.
A. I have heard from unsaved people in the past that find fault with so called Christians and they have said “If that is a Christian, I don’t want to be one.”
B. The question is, what do people who know you say about you.
1. Do the men and women you work with or visit with know that you are saved (a Christian)
2. Do the bikers you hang around with know you are saved?
3. Do they know that you put God first in your life or do you put God first?
C. There is a song that says “dare to be a Daniel”
D. Will you be a Daniel today and the rest of your life?
