The Role of Fathers in Spiritual Renewal

Malachi is the last of the prophetic voices and closes out the Hebrew Scriptures with his poignant call to a people who have abandoned God and his sanctuary for bogus reasons. Malachi pointed out their sorry justifications for their equally sorry behavior and called them once again to righteous living. The question our text answers is: “Are there any guides to point us in the way of righteousness?” The three-fold answer is yes and the final one is surprisingly relevant for Father’s Day!
