God is a rewarder

Hebrews 11:6, 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Over the years as I been reading the Bible, I can’t help but see that a lot of people who followed God's leading had a lot of things

Why is that? Let’s see.

I.       First thing God talks about is its impossible to please God with out faith.

A.    It simply takes faith.

1.     The question you must ask yourself is do you have faith?

2.     James 2:18, Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

3.     Works is everything we do to get close to God or what we do for Him.

4.     Husbands do you love your wives? You must show it. Wives do you love your husbands? Show it.

B.    Here in Hebrews 11 we find what we call the faith chapter of the Bible.

C.    Faith is the substance of things hope for, evidence of things not seen. (Heb. 11:1)

D.    It truly is imposable to please God without faith.

II.     Than verse 6 tells us, those who come must believe He is.

A.    In verse 5 God talks about Enoch.

B.    Enoch lived at some of the worse times in history.

1.     But he kept the faith.

2.     2 Timothy 4:7, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

C.    Stripped down to its basics, faith is confidence that God exists[1]

1.     If you do believe God is, and this is His Word, you would not do things casually.

2.     Mark Posey believes he is going to die and he is acting on it.

III.    Next in verse 6 God says and that God is a rewarder.

A.    Hebrews 11:8, By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

B.    Abraham did not know for sure, but he went.

C.    Look in the Bible at some of the man of God; they seem to have money and land. God took care of them.

IV.   In order to get the above, we must diligently seek Him.

A.    The word diligently means a lot.

B.    Seek out, seek early, ask, knock.

C.    Strive = as in agony of the contest.

1.     Agony that is put forth to win, to go the extra mile.

2.     to strive so hard that nothing means anything to you.

D.    Back in verse 6, it says to “please Him”.

1.     Please means to “walk with”

2.     Are we seeking God to walk with Him or to please Him?

Conclusion:  Today I have given you a formula that will give you all that God wants from you as well as give you that happy live filled with all joy is that not what you want while your here on earth.

Will you do it?    Read verse 6 again.
