Nursery Rhymes

One of the sweetest things about being a first time parent is the regular amount of singing and music that now fills the home. Prior to Makana, our differences in preferred genres of music meant that we seldom sang or listened to any music together at home beyond the occasional T4G live albums (check these out!). But now a day doesn’t go by without “Jesus loves me” or “the itsy bitsy spider” or “this little light of mine”. It is amazing at how easily these songs came back to memory after not singing the words for two decades. Such is the nature of top hits. When things are said or sung generation after generation, the words become intimately familiar and easy to recall so that you know the end of the song, or the end of the story, once the first few words are said.
