I'm such a sports fan and with the absence of sports watching the docuseries The last Dance I learned more about my favorite Basketball team the 1990 Bulls. while your watching the blood sweat and tears that are spent on a team that would eventually break up the team there was a name that rang off in my head. I know what your thinking MJ, or Scottie, or Phil Jackson, maybe Rodman. and these names would be great guesses, However I was thinking about Will Purdue.

The text in questions is found in Luke Chapter 10 where we see a Jesus setting up him team and What i want to leave with you in this time is that you think that its hard out here imagine for a moment

you were captivated by a man in robe that was was talking and thee were a group of people around you and you couldn't believe what you were seeing ; thousands of people were being feed by two fish and five loaves (Luke 9: 15-17) and not that he was feed but there were 12 baskets of food fumbling out of the baskets of leftovers.

This is one of the ways that God tries to seat himself in your heart but showing you that there are blessing running over when you believe,

when you believe you see others getting blessed and you started to gain a little faith becaz you know that lady or you know that man and if you know them that must mean God is bound to knock on your door.

when you start to believe and sis so and so gets healed or freed from an addiction, or rescued from an abusive relationship you crack a smile becaz if it could be done for her it can sure nuff be done for me.

So this man is amazed and he signs up for the next disciple training class.

don't take money, a bag for things to hold anything and no sandals and if someone talks to you don't say nothing keeping moving, Go to the house where you feel that there is a genuine love for what your doing becaz if they have love for you they will welcome you in. Then after you ate, let them know they kingdom is at hand so they will be blessed. then go out into the street and heal.

But if they don't receive you go to the middle of the city and say the same dust that's on me I wipe it off on you then leave becaz they are not rejecting you they are rejecting me, then go to the next city.

Now you see why God had to give them power becaz he has to compensate for what they are leaving behind. all the securities and safeties and creature comforters they are leaving at home to go in to a world where Wolves are out to get you people don't want to hear what you have to say so you have to walk by them without having the chance to heal them. the homes you would have to neglect due to unbelief and the sick that are truly sick but not looking to be healed but gain the riches of this world.

so they went out and did great things. they were on fire for the Lord and the healed and blessed and called on God and people were restored, and when they cam back they gave an account as to what they did and as they were giving their account I can see the face of Jesus looking back at them saying just becaz you had a great day to day doesn't mean that you will be as successfully as yesterday.

jesus already knew the issues of wins and loses

we are going to walk in to cities and lose Freddy gray, Grogorge Floyd, Sean bell, Tamer Rice

but people will rise and create moments where change has to happen

rallies and Group like Black Lives Matter will come out of that

we are going to walk into cities where racism is still a thing

and we will be in the middle of it like Selma, bus boycotts and sitin

but out of that will rise our Nat turners, Harriort tubman, You Malcom, Martin and Mandela.

Point number one not only have you have power to defeat the enemy but God has already defeated him Rev:12:8 -9) Rev 1:18 Rev 20:10

Point Two Don’t Get excited about Victory down here God is going to give you so many wins down here it would be impossible for you to count them (Ps 40:5, 139:18)

Point number three. You should spend your time rejoicing that your name is written in Heaven. why becaz while you were yet a sinner you accepted the call to work for him and Jesus died for you Romans 5:8.

Some of us tried to use the color or race but God Romans 3:1-19 but Gods word still reigns supreme

but the receive this power that we have talked about you only get it in service

In closing you don't have to be the superstar of the team you don't have to be a pastor or elder or some that command power in position but all you have to be is you and God Will reward you . right Will Purdue, you may not see his name in record books for points or rebounds but what you will see is that he is a 4x champion 3 with the bulls and one with the Spurs. you can say whatever you want about him but he has more rings then your favorite player maybe. God just wants you on the team so when the celebration of the second coming starts to descend and the team heres welcome home don't you want to be in the locker room of Heaven so when they call your name you can receive your crown for a job well done?.
