Go Just A Little Further

INTRODUCTION:

Jesus Christ went farther into the shadows and sorrows of human suffering than we have ever gone. Yes, Christ endured a little agonizing; the sacrifice He made was so much more costly.

CHRIST WENT A LITTLE FARTHER IN LOVE

Greater love hath no man. For God so loved the world. He loved His own until the end.

CHRIST WENT A LITTLE FARTHER IN PRAYER

He prayed all night on the mountain. He prayed in great agony. He prayed until his sweat became as drops of blood.

CHRIST WENT A LITTLE FARTHER IN POVERTY

He who was rich became poor. He had no place to lay his head. He did not have roof over his head.

CHRIST WENT A LITTLE FARTHER IN SELF-DENIAL

He lived for others. He suffered for others. He died for others.

CHRIST WENT A LITTLE FARTHER IN SORROW

He lived a lonely life. He walked a lonely road. He was left alone to die.

CHRIST WENT A LITTLE FARTHER IN SERVICE

He never refused a helping hand. He was busy about His Father's business. He finished His job.

CHRIST WENT A LITTLE FARTHER IN SACRIFICE

He gave up His heavenly home for 33 years. He emptied Himself. He laid His life down.
