My Testimony

Introduction:

I want to take this opportunity to thank the faculty and staff for having me here today. It is always an honor to preach the word and give my testimony

I want to do two things this morning

1.     Give you a challenge form the Word

2.     Give you my testimony how God got me into this Ministry

Acts 1:6-8,6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

I.       Notice how in verse 8 God tells us to start in our home town

A.    Jerusalem was first

B.    Judea was the

C.    Samaria was north of Judea

D.    And finally to the uttermost parts of the earth

II.     The mission field start here at home

A.    If you do not have a heart for soul here, you will not be the soul winner you think you will be when you get into the field

B.    It all starts here at this collage which is Jerusalem from here you go out into the world proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ

III.    God called me to be a missionary

A.    It all started when I came down here to go to collage

B.    I had sold my bikes

C.    I had no idea were God wanted me in the ministry

1.     Went through school and still did not know were God wanted me to go

2.     I got involved in a local church

3.     Plus I was working as a mechanic and had my own shop

D.    One day a friend came up and asked if I would work on his truck?

E.     I made the Honda look like a HD

F.     I started to going to bike rallies

G.    The second rally I went to (Myrtle Beach)

H.    I started to witness and do Bible studies

I.       One Wednesday nigh at church they voted on me for part time support

J.      For 5 years I did this part time and God calls me into the ministry full time

1.     It is now been 12 years full time plus the 5 years part time

2.     I hold a Sunday morning service each week

3.     I have a Bible Study each Tuesday night

4.     I go to 7 rallies a year and set up like a vender

5.     I put on retreats each year

6.     I am the chaplain for Abate of Greenville

7.     All this is for the biker world

a)     The jest of the ministry is to the Hard core bikers ( HD crowd)

K.    God brought me in the back way. Let me explain

Conclusion:

Remember, the ministry starts right here today. Not when you get out into a Pastorate or mission field.

This is Jerusalem right here right now and than one day you will go out to Judea and than to the uttermost parts of the earth.
