I.       In marriage what is the most important relationship?

A.    God

B.    Husband & Wife

C.    Children

II.     Why are the Husband and Wife relationship so important?

A.    They will always be together

B.    The children will leave one day

C.    They will leave Mother & Father to become one with their spouse

1.     Genesis 2:24, Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh

2.     Ephesians 5:31, For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh

3.     Matthew 19:5, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

III.    What is the one thing missing from all these verses?

A.    Children

B.    Look back in Ephesians 5:31 and the rest of the verses we read

1.     The children are to leave and be joined together to the one they marry
