Spiritual Ingratitude is evidenced by:
q Self- righteousness
q Judgmentalism
q Legalism
One of the primary steps to be taken in the Christian life is to realize our condition. We are dead in the water.
q Dead in our sins
q Dead in our nature
Why is it so hard for us to admit our need?
q Somehow we feel diminished
q We want to be self- sufficient when we are helpless
q It makes us different than others
q We don’t want to be seen as “bad” because it makes us ashamed
What has Christ done for us? Verse 13 tells us:
q He has made us alive
q He has forgiven our sins
q He has removed the major obstacle that keeps us from Christ. (v.14)
q He has conquered the Devil (v. 15)
