“Oh, I say the measure of a man Is not how tall you stand How wealthy or intelligent you are'Cause I've found out the measure of a man
God knows and understands For He looks inside to the bottom of your heart And what's in the heart defines The measure of a man”
The most daunting task of a mans life is that of being a father. The times we live in place a dautning mandate upon our lives to be the man and fathers that God wants us to be.
1.) Love God
Deuternonomy 6:4-9:“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
2.) Love People
Mark 12:3: ““And the second [commandment] is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”
3.) Men of Prayer & Worship:
Psalm 51:17 NKJV
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despise.
4.) Men that demonstrate the Fruit of the Spirit
Galatians 5:22–23 NKJV
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
