There are many things about the world and even about the Christian life that can gives us joy, but Jesus asks us to find joy not in the power we carry but in where that power will carry us. This mindset takes the “I” and “me” out of the picture and gives it back to Christ. It is not by our own doing and our own power that we get to Christ, but it is he who carry us to himself.
