I. Mark 16:15, And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

A. Let me explain: The word “Go ye into” really reads “while you are there”

1. “And He said to them having traveled into the world all announce the good message to all the creation”

B. While you are there, be a testimony for me.

1. While you at the Gas Station be a testimony for me.

2. While you at work, be a testimony for me.

3. While you are cutting the grass, be a testimony for me.

4. While you are at the Food store, be a testimony for me.

5. Where ever you are at any time, be a testimony for me.

C. Acts 1:8, But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

1. Home is were we start to witness

2. If you start at home, you will progress to the other parts of the earth.

II. Lets go to the next part of the Great commission.

A. Be a testimony for Christ or witnessing for Christ.

1. Matthew 5:14-16, 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

B. Do people see something different in you?

1. When you walk into a room where no one know you and after a while, people start to say to themselves “there is something different about that guy.

a) When I worked at Canon Volkswagen I met a guy who stared work there and he was from Colorado.

C. Philippians 1:27, Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel.

1. When you are at work, or in the yard cutting the grass and start to talk to your neighbor or people at work, do you say things like God did this for me or give a testimony to them about what God has done.

2. I used to think that unsaved people would not understand when I said things about God.

3. Let me stop here a moment and ask: -

III. So what is witnessing?

A. First of all, it is living a life that is Christ like.

1. As it says back in Matt 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men.

2. Marshal at Myrtle Beach got saved.

B. Learn to talk to the unsaved just like you would take to someone tonight about what Christ is doing in your life.

1. This takes time to learn.

2. I would not do it because I used to think, “they would not understand it”. (the things of God)

C. One thing I do recommend, if you do not feel comfortable talking with people, go out with someone who can and just help them by prayer and in time you start to speak when you are ready.

D. Witnessing is having a relationship with others.

1. Example would be your neighbor.

a) Find ways to help them

3. It is also giving the plan of salvation

4. But not always, but sometimes it is just being a testimony around people.

Conclusion: I have shown you that we are to be witness for Christ every minute of every day and were ever we are in this world.

I have shown you that our light should shine before men that they see Christ in us.

I shown you that we need to be friendly to all the people we meet.

Hebrews 13:2, Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

And I showed you that we need to learn to talk to the unsaved the same way we talk to the saved.

And finally, that we need to establish a relationship with people to be a testimony to them through out that relationship.
