Thanksgiving Service2
Thanksgiving Service
Introduction:
Last week I challenge you to be thinking about what God has done for you this last year so you could give thanks to God on Thanksgiving.
What I would like to do today is have you give some testimonies on some of the things God has been doing in your life this last year.
I will quote some verses I used last week in between the testimonies to help motive you with thanksgiving.
I. Philippians 1:3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you
· As God brings things to our remembrance we should be thanking God for what He has done.
I will start with myself:
· God has taught me much patients as to waiting on Him in my life.
· God has blessed me this year with the help of those who have gone with me to the rallies.
· I praise God for my wife, we have become a team working with the house, and she has help me so much with ideas with the ministry.
·
II. Colossians 4:2, Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving
- As we do our daily things in life and for God we should be thanking God.
III. 2 Corinthians 9:11, Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God
- As God blesses us each day we should be thanking God for all those blessings
IV. Philippians 4:6, Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
- We are not to be anxious to get into any, but in everything pray about everything and ubove all give thanks.
V. Colossians 2:7, Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving
- Everything that we have been taught by God, we should be overflowing with thanksgiving.
VI. 2 Corinthians 4:15, For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
- All the things we read in the Bible are for our sakes, that as we learn them we will give thanks to God for making all these things possible to us to learn and use them.
