Matthew 5:13–14 CSB
13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt should lose its taste, how can it be made salty? It’s no longer good for anything but to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. 14 “You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden.

How Salty Are You

We know throughout of the New Testament that Christ had told of things that sometime do not make the sense at the time. In this passage it has never been something so clear when it is explained out. There has never been a time that we as young Christians need to hear passages like this one.
We are in a time where there is so much hate in the world, People are at odds with each other, The world is trying to put christian down as if we are the cause of the problems. It is times like this where we need to passages like this one to give us the reminder that we are not alone in this world and we were warned that this was going to happen.
As we go through this the question remains how salty are you when it come to Show the world Christ.

Being Salty

So lets talk about this what is does it even mean to be salt/salty. I can tell you it is not the worldly term that mean you are upset with something that someone is doing or being jealous of someone else.
It has a meaning that goes beyond that see Salt itself is a very interesting element of the world that God created. For instance Everything that is made up of matter is found to have some traces of salt in it. It is the one thing that can make a different to things. If you take a Pot of boiling water and poor salt in it the water begins to calm, and vice versa if you put salt in calm water it begins to boils.
Our Walks with Christ should be so much similar as the elements of salt. We should have traces of Christ inside of everything that we do just as salt does. We should be ready to calm the water when we notice that things are starting to get out of had as we lose our focus on Christ. We also should be ready to cause a boil when it is time to get our butts in gear to serve Christ.
But the passage talks more than just being Salt it talks about us not losing that Focus on Christ if not we ourselves might just throw our walks away. We are called to be the Light of the world.

Light of the World

We see that Christ tells us we are the light of the world what does that mean exactly. We see in other passages where Christ talks about being the light of the world.
John 8:12 CSB
12 Jesus spoke to them again: “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.”
We know when that light turns on there is no darkness that can hide. We have seen in many of the scriptures that Christ makes the devil run and hide. when we look back at Matthew he is calling us the light. Meaning we have the same power that He has all we have to do is wake up. We can make the devil run from us and hide. All it take for us is to call on the name of the one that deserves their name to be called on.
I know what you think what does this have to do with us. It is time for us to Wake up.

Wake Up and Get Salty

We have to stop letting the devil win. We have to start our day off with saying that God is in control no matter what the situation is. Stop giving that little inch to satan because someone could not like what your saying When you can gain the mile just by putting your Trust in to God.
It is time to wake up if you do not know who Christ now is not the time to wait it is the time for action. Maybe you did wake up but you went back to sleep now is the time give your life back to Christ and say Im going to let you have today.
Now is the time to do it
