Miriam equated herself to Moses, and was corrected by God, who stated that she didn’t talk to Him like Moses did. The wrath of the LORD fell upon her, she was given leprosy, and Moses prayed she be healed, but she was kicked out of the Camp of Israel for seven days. She allowed bitterness to enter, and was cursed because of it. She was never the mentioned in the Bible again during the Exodus and in the Wilderness journey.
