Don't Focus On Your HATERS!
Don't Focus on Your Haters!
“You will be hated by all because of My name, but the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.” (Mark 13:13 NLT)
Jesus was teaching His disciples warning them about the last days and preparing them to preach the gospel after the Resurrection and after their upper room experience on the day of Pentecost.
Jesus warned them that ”you will be hated.” That Word wasn't just for them but for every believer who was called by His name.
In this current day and culture; the word ”hater” (or ”haters”) is thrown around a lot. We adopted this term from hip-hop and secular culture. I hear it in preached messages and see it in a lot of social
media posts. In my opinion, it is used so loosely that it has lost it's true meaning. I have a Word for you; you are supposed to be hated! Believers, the devil is NOT your friend. The ”world” (those who live by the ways of the world) is not your friend. Everyone who attends a church is not your friend! Jesus puts it this way:
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. (Matthew 13: 24-30)
In other words, the wheat (born again believers who are truly serving God) and tares (those who may look like wheat but still love the ways of the world, carnal-minded, heart is not changed...) is growing together, even in the church house. But Jesus shares with the disciples how He will deal with tares:
He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. (Matthew 13: 37-43)
Wheat will be HATED for being wheat. Don’t be shocked. Don’t spend energy on those who hate you. Don’t live for the audience or the applause of people. The job and focus of the wheat is to GROW! The focus of the wheat is to produce. We all want and need to be encouraged. Our flesh wants the applause. Being hated does not feel good, but have peace in knowing that if you are living for God, He sees YOU! He will give you supernatural JOY when you serve HIM with your whole hearts.
Believers, YOU ARE GOING TO BE HATED! That comes with serving the Lord. Be encouraged! Know that your Heavenly Father will reward your faithfulness. Don’t focus on your haters, JUST GROW! Don’t write another post about your “haters,” JUST GROW! Grow and Produce! Harvest is coming!
