· 11 viewsSeeking the Lord has been mans persuit for the unknown unitl God by His eternal mercies gave hi only begotten son so that by Him and through Him we may receive reconcilliation with the God we hardly know. This will remain the primary concept in getting closer to God and knowing God.

33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
We learn from this text something very important.
Seeking God
Right from days of OT man was instructed to seek God.
Seeking his word Isaiah 34:16
His face and His strength Psalm 27:8, Psalm 105:4, Psalm 119:135, (fulfilled by making priestly blessing always, Numbers 6:25)
When we seek the Lord he takes care of our worries, troubles, concerns and problems
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
In the NT Jesus also taught seeking God as important,
Kingdom
Righteousness
Concerning the kingdom Jesus said,
the kingdom comes upon us by deliverance. Matthew 12:28
by generosity in giving the kingdom doors are open to us. Matthew 19:24
is kept by those who bear fruits of the kingdom of God. Matthew 21:43
is within us, no need to search outside. Luke 17:20-21
Concerning righteousness we are taught
to seek God by ordering our words right. Matthew 12:37, Romans 3:4
through believing we are made righteous, not by obedience of the law. Romans 10:10, Acts 13:39
justification or righteousness is a free gift of God. Romans 3:24 (don’t try to earn it by work but just believe and receive, partake)
received through the washing of the blood of Jesus. Romans 5:9
In the name of Jesus and by the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 6:11
By being righteous we receive
peace with God. Romans 5:1
glorification from God. Romans 8:30
