The Hands Of God Isaiah 40:12

There's a whole lot of water on Earth! Something like 326,000,000,000,000,000,000 gallons (326 million trillion gallons)

• “Have you ever wondered how Big God’s hand is measured the 7 seas in the hallow of his hand, and yet he can rest every saint of God in the hallow of his hand. “

Darnell- Someone TO Lean On I suppose the biggest hand you could ever find could only hold four or five little spoonful’s of water without dripping over But the God I serve is so great and so powerful that he can take the great Atlantic Pacific Arctic and Antarctic Indian ocean,all thrown in with good measures with wells brooks fountains streams, seas, lakes and ponds in the palm of his hand without spilling a drop.

Waxed short

(Num 11:23) And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD'S hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.

Is mighty

(Jos 4:24) That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the LORD your God for ever.

Was heavy

Against the Philistines

Not shortened

Bud Robinson was a miracle of grace, he was illiterate, stuttered, tongue tied, epilepsy, both shoulders out of place, but God saved him and called him to preach. When I went down to the altar I couldn’t read a word when I came up I could read my title clear to a mansion in the sky.Went down a crying and came up flyingShouted till midnight, took his Went and climbed under his wagon put his old greasy hat on a stump for a pillow and Jesus came under that wagon, and he laughed like a boy at a circus. He was so happy The lord looked at me, I didn’t know he wore a crown of thorns, I didn’t know he wore a purple robe; I didn’t know there was any blood dribbled over his beautiful face. Paul Lucas tells about hearing him testify once, said he was illiterate I didn’t even know what that meantI went before the ministerial committee to ask them for license the lord had called me to preach. When I walked in they said, Brother Robinson what are you doing here. He said, “The Lord has called me to ppppppreach. “ And they started laughing. Finally one of them said step out and we’ll call you when we want you. One of the old circit riders tole bud that they got so tickled they thought they’d die cause the Lord had called old bud to preach, Jesus knew what he was doing. One of the members said, lets give him exhorters license it won’t hurt anything. Nobodys gonna ask him to preach anyway and it might keep him from backsliding. So they called him in and gave him exhorters license. That year I preached 250 times and God gave me 375 souls more than any other preacher in the conference. When I was standing on that camp ground holding my horse. An old brother walked by Bro Rob I want to give you something and he handed me a little black book I took it I looked there wasn’t any pictures in it I didn’t know what it was. I was standing there and another brother came by. I said brother would you come here a minute could you tell me what this book is, he said brother rob that’s the words of Jesus and the psalms the NT and the psalms. I climbed up on that horse and I put that Bible to my bosom and I was riding down that road tears streaming down my face said lord how am I ever gonna know what you said in this book unless you help me to learn how to read it. I got back they’d already heard I got saved they said Bud what you gonna do now, I’d say I’m gonna ppppreach. They’d laugh at him. This one day they’d laughed and mocked him and made fun of him. I was lying on my stomach under the covered wagon spelling out some words in the Psalms. Then I spelled out where the Lord said we could rest in the hallow of his hand and he said the Lord looked down underneath that coverd wagon by the light of the Texas moon and said they made it rough on you today, but I want you to climb up in the hallow of my hand and rest, and he said Old Bud climbed up. A few nights later I was spelling out some more words And then I spelled out where the Lord said he’d cover me with his right hand. He said until then I didn’t know which hand I was in but I must ‘v been in his left hand if he was going to cover me with his right hand. For 52 years old Bud has been resting in the Lords left hand and covered by his right hand. Everyonce inc a while the lord peeks in and asks how Bud was doing. Bro. The hand of God is a marvelous thing. It use used figuratively in the Bible in various ways. Nave's Topical Bible makes the list of the "Anthropomorphic use of The hand of the Lord"[1]

God's Hand:

Is not limited -

Numbers 11:23 (KJV)

23 And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD'S hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.

One of my favorite scriptures on the hand of God is found in

Isaiah 40:12 (KJV)

12 Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

Think about this rehtorical question from the Prophet Isaiah. "Who hath measured the waters…" It is possible to get at least a rough estimate of how much water there is on the planet. Marine Biologist have said there is something like 326,000,000,000,000,000,000 gallons (326 million trillion gallons)

There is probabbly more than that but however much there is, God has measured them,

But Isiah doesn't stop there - God has measured them in His Hand. Not hands but HAND.

• “Have you ever wondered how Big God’s hand

He has measured the 7 seas in the hallow of his hand, and yet he can also rest every saint of God in the hallow of his hand. “

He measures the heaven - a seemingly endless infinity of blackness and space - with the span of his hand. Again not hands but span.) - No wonder the Psalmist declared

Psalm 89:13 (KJV)

13 Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.

Psalm 98:1 (KJV)

1 O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. This shows us how big God is. The songwriter wrote,

Bigger than all my problems;

Bigger than all my fears;

God is bigger than any mountain that I can or cannot see

Bigger than all my questions

Bigger than anything

God is bigger than any mountain that I can or cannot see.

Jesus is telling us in John 10:28-29 that we as God's children are in his hand, and no one can pluck or take us out. We are sheltered in not just the arm of God but the hand of God.

Look at the lilies of the field they don't toil nor spin but God takes care of them

Look at the sparrow they don't plant or sow - but God sees when even one of them falls to the ground

HOW MUCH MORE IS HE GOING TO TAKE CARE OF YOU WHEN YOU ARE IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND.

What a comfort to know.
