What we Learned from Quarantine

Intro

Over the period of quarentine I did something different

instead of you guys voting, or doing a series of messgae on a topic i was lead to do.

Each week I would engage in a serious time to seek what God wanted me to preach each Monday.

It was hard because I would wiat sometimes to the last hours until God showed me what it was.

Each week the Lord was faithful to me.

I can honestly say, the Lord directed me in each message.

My mind was blown when I saw that that there was this truth building upon a truth that has lead us up to this point

Now that we are beginning to enter into a new normal.

I want to overview the truths that the Lord had taught us and built up in this time in quarantine.

(3/16) Truth 1: 5 Practices of Jesus for Peace.

(in a time when world was in panic, anxious,

Learn to slow down (instead of react)

Sabbath / Rest (instead of herding)

Koinania (instead of blaming)

Prayer (quick fix)

Surrender it to God (instead of looking for a hero that will do things different)

So in the chaos we were learning how to slow down and rest, and have peace.

(3/23) Truth 2: Maturing your relationship with God pt. 1

we learned how each book of the NT can mature your walk with God…

and you each picked out a book that applied to what you needed to grow in.

(In a time when believers were immature in their faith by being more faithful to their wants then what God was trying to do at the moment)

(in a time when we need to be looking to God for growth).

(3/31) Truth 3: Modern Sons of Isaachar

in a time when people were looking at the immediate problems

we looked at the signs of the times we are in and how they line up to the last days.

that we need to take these days we are in serious

because it is clear that we we are at least in the birth pangs of the last days.

and with people afraid, confused, and paniced, losing jobs.

people need hope, they need Jesus.

and so you were encouraged to share Jesus to people., and hope to people

(4/6) Truth 4: Be the church

In a time when people seemed hopeless, depression was at its peak. People committing suicide.

you were encouraged to share Jesus and hope.

What may appear to be evil… may be something God is meaning for good.

difficult days does not mean we are not God’s people

difficult days does not mean God is not working, in fact the opposite

difficult days will lead us to the next stage God wants to take us.

Remember the promises of God - this is not forever, God said He will take care of us. (Matt 6:28 ), He said He has not appointed us for wrath (1 Thess 5:9)

Lets then act like Children of God and not like those without hope

Quit looking at whats going on today and saying things like it sucks,

Look at God and say “your Kingdom come, your will be done”

Let us not continue in our sin when we are being warned.

Let us not be too religious in how we worship that we miss what the Spirit is doing.

(4/11) Truth 5: Maturing your relationship with God pt. 2

in a time when people were focusing on how bad things suck, you were encouraged to focus on God

by being intentional in prayer.

What would happen if you prayed more?

No doubt you would be closer to God (James 4:8),

more loving of a person (mt 5:44),

will protect you from Satan (Eph 6:18),

kept from temptation (Luke 22:40,46),

submits us to God purpose (Matt 6:10),

makes us obedient (Luke 18:1)

You may see a miracle happen, & God answer your prayer.

So whats stopping you from accessing the greatest power in the universe by praying?

So look up to the stars and realize the creator hears you, and loves you.

Now what will you pray for?

If you havent noticed we have been really solidifying focusing on God, regardless of what going on.

(4/18) Truth 6: Treasuring God’s Word

Here we learn how great His word is and how we can treat it like treasure (from Ps. 119:9-16)

*this is also where ARGGHHH started)

I think of that same Pirate that finally found the beautiful valuable treasure

and so he stares at it and learns each microscopic detail of it

May we also hold His Scriptures as a beautiful, and valuable treasure worth staring at and learning its details.

So

Shame on us when we say“I have a busy day today, ill read later”

“I am to tired to read it now, so ill read it when I am more awake”

“I already know what it says, so I am okay”

“Ill just read double tomorrow”

What if God did the same thing to you?

When you want Him to speak to you, He says“ I am tired, ill listen to you later.”

“I am having a busy day, lets do this later”

“Ill listen to you longer tomorrow”

God could say this to you, and still be God.

but if you do the same to God, you would ruin yourself.

You will never regret investing in His Word.

What you invest in... is what you love.

If you invest your time in a team, you will gain a fondness of that teamI

f you invest your time in movies you will gain a fondness of actors, and actresses

What if you invested time in the Word of God.

I bet the result would be that you would love His Word.

So do you want treasure God’s Word?

Know it in your mind.Store it in your heart.Show it in your life.Sow it in the world.

(4/26) Truth 7: Forward with Jesus behind me with Satan

When we look at what is going on today

many people confused, angry, depressed

people are just wanting things to get back to normal

People are trying to find answers to get us back to normal,

Our governor, or president cant give definite answers on when things are back to normal,

and what they will look like totally.

So People are itching for answers...

What I will be sharing with you today is something taught all over scripture…

that is so crucial for us to understand in days like today

this message had a lot of gold.....

we learned:

While the world is pressing back to normal..

may we be pressing towards the goal of God…

seek what is in the mind of God

to continue in the mind of men and seek the normal

is to be resisting the goal God has

And many believers condemn Israel for resisting God so much and needing a harder lesson

but we may be in the exact same place

spending much of our time seeking answers to normal

but maybe God is trying to work on our hearts? Maybe He is trying to cause us to surrender?

just like Israel

Maybe He has a better plan and we need to surrender

God can do more with our surrender than we can with our control.

So what will it be will you be seeking the mind of God and Satan behind us?orcontinuing in the kind of men seeking answers to bring us back to normal with Satan

(5/3) Truth 8: Peaceful Purpose

this was about moving from a pity party, to peaceful purpose.

how to not go through covid

but how to grow through covid.

Not God eliminate the problem, but God illuminate your presence”

to abide in Jesus

when you go from pity to purpose

your life repents, it turns around

See maybe you think you have no purpose according to your status in the world

but there will always be someone who cant see your value… sometimes it is you that doesnt see your value

but God sees your value

how precious is the soul that both Satan and God fight over it

But the problem is you compare yourself to other people

you think peoples lives are better than yours because

you compare their highlights to your behind the scenes.

and the fastest way to kill something special is to compare it to something else

make Jesus your Lord and not just your Savior, and see what He does.

live just one day completely surrendered… and you'll never go back.

(5/10) Truth 9: Is He worthy?

about not being a kyle going in circles in your walk with God

where are going no where in our walk with God because we are only focused on the me part of the relationship.

I don’t know about you but I am sick of going in circles.. going no where...

I want purpose.

I need to get my eyes off the one side of boat (me)

I need to change my perspective from only looking at the one side of the boat

We need to pick up the other oar that represents God’s Worth

You need to ask yourself what is God’s worth in your life?

In other words how much do you love God?

and how much will you love God?

(5/17) Truth 10: Kingdom Ambition

My kingdom gone, His kingdom come

My will be none, His will be done.

Don’t just have a kingdom ambition

Live with a Kingdom Mission.

Declaring Gods goodness

Declaring God’s power

Declaring God’s beauty

Declaring God’s greatness

To live not just for God to love you, but for you to love God.

How much is He worth to you?

everything? something

Prove to the world how great He is!

(5/24) Truth 11: The King of Kings

here we learned the He is the king.

we went through a list of who He is

and How great He is

and then realizing how honored we are that He loves us...

so God’s love isnt based on me it is placed on me.

He is sooo good to us!

He is worthy of our praise.

we need to get our eyes off of us

it doesnt matter what I have done, It doesnt matter what I think , it doesnt matter how I feel Jesus is worthy to be praised...

in fact if you think about it Praise is the only thing you can give to God.

& Praise is the only thing that has nothing to do with us

it is the only gift you can give God

To fail to praise is not to break some church or Bible rule it is failure to treat God as God.

It is time to move from God just being useful for you

to God is beautiful to you

From craving Him to love us to be craving to love Him

from looking for His affirmation to affirming Him

from listening for His proof of love to proving your love for Him

Lust says what can you do for me

Love says what can I do for you.

is the King your lust or is He your love?

If He is your love,

dont be ashamed of Him,

dont hold back,

Is He worth proving your love for?

(6/1) Truth 12: Kingdom Living.

when people are focused on their problems and issues on earth.

we learned about living in & for His kingdom

we dont have to wait for Heaven to praise

we dont have to wait for Heaven to have joy

we dont have to wait for heaven to have peace

here we learned from 2 Chron 20:5-13

how to live for the kingdom when your world seems to be falling apart.

Remember who God is

Remeber what God has done

Remind God of your faithfulness to Him

Remind God of His promises

Present to God the issue (why your world is falling apart

Ask God for help

Get behind God

From here we learned

Jesus is with you

Whatever your facing and battling Jesus is with you

Maybe you need to drop the sword, the complaining

and realize the power that stands beside you.

you can read verses 18 to the end on your own time

but what you will read

is that alll of Israel surrounded by their enemies … didnt fight, didnt panic, didnt run away

they all bowed down before God.

and it says that they all worshipped God!

and then all of their problems, threats, and fears were eliminated!

and our of their praise came victory.

out of praise comes victory

church what are you battling?

out of praise comes victory

Seek first His Kingdom!

and all these things will be added!

Dont lose hope,

Our king is high and lifted up!

and He cares for you!

I think some of you need to lay things down.... and start praising God

(6/8) - Truth 12: Praise (Hebrew) the King pt.1

Yadah - open hands to God (surrender)

Towdah - extended hands (confessing thanks)

Shabach - a loud shout of His goodness (a testimony)

Barauch - bowing with love, submission, and trust

Zamar - singing with instruments Halah - rave speaking

Tehillah - rave singing “Put these all together and you have complete praise to God (7)”

(6/15) - Truth 13: Praise (Greek) the King pt. 2

Σέβω - outsider (speak)

Θρησκεία - religious

δόξα - realize / honorεὐ

λογέω - blessing God

αινος - testimony/evangelismὑ

μνέω - singing αινος

λατρεύω - serve

Προσκυνέω - bow down
