being a witness requires:

Suffering “dedicated believers share his truth wherever they go, in spite of what they encounter. The gospel never triumphs apart from some measure of sacrifice. Someone has to sacrifice (and sometimes die) so that others may live.”

The Holy Spirit “we must be clothed with the power of the Holy Spirit to be faithful witnesses

commitment to prayer -> showed their commitment to Jesus and His mission (are you? does your prayer life show this?)

prayed together, prayed constantly

What changes do you need to make to your prayer life?

vs. 16-

Judas had to be replaced (fulfilling a prophecy)

When you approach difficult tasks, base it on scripture

trust the Bible as your authority

scripture is trustworthy (2 Timothy 3:16)

the Church here submitted their lives, circumstances, and direction to God’s Word

this requires living in His word

do you live in God’s Word and allow it to shape you and guide you?
