God’s Intention
God’s Intention
Isaiah 53:4–6 (NKJV) — 4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah prophesied this about 600 years before Jesus Christ was born
Isaiah discerned the Father’s heart and declared an impossible redemption was coming
Jesus carried all our sin, all the penalties for sin, and all our pain and sorrow
Since He took all consequences of sin, we must realize we are free from sickness and disease
All sickness and disease is an illegal invasion of your territory
Consider Ex 28:38, Ezek 4:4-6, Gen 3:21.
And it shall be upon Aaron’s forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before the LORD.
Isaiah 53:10 (NKJV) — 10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.
The only thing that pleases God is FAITH (Heb 11:6)
The bruising and torment Jesus suffered for you and & I was endured in faith.
Jesus received the penalties for all sin by faith
We receive the blessings Jesus provides one way only-by faith
God has always intended to redeem all people from the effects of sin
How Did Jesus Heal People
How Did Jesus Heal People
Matthew 8:16–17 (NKJV) — 16 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, 17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.”
The miracles of Jesus prove Isaiah heard from God and prophesied the truth
Jesus healed by faith. He knew His Father’s heart and obeyed everything He said
Jesus “healed all that were sick”. A double reference and another prophecy
Jesus healed all who were physically near enough for Him to pray for Him.
“Healed all that were sick” also means every person alive can be healed by Jesus
His Words declared in faith still cast out devils and heal people today
Jesus understood the value of His sacrifice and enforced the results by faith
