THE WORLD IS PASSING AWAY 1 Jn 2:17
THE WORLD IS PASSING AWAY 1 Jn 2:17
And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
IT IS THE LAST HOUR 1 Jn 2:18
IT IS THE LAST HOUR 1 Jn 2:18
Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour.
The arrival of antichrists is an indicator that we are in the last hour, that this present age is about to pass away.
THE ANTICHRIST IS COMING 1 Jn 2:18
THE ANTICHRIST IS COMING 1 Jn 2:18
Many antichrists have already come 1 Jn 2:18-19
Many antichrists have already come 1 Jn 2:18-19
Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.
They were once part of the fellowship of believers, but left so as to spread false teachings about who Jesus is. By leaving, they removed themselves from accountability to the body of believers.
They denied that Jesus is the Christ, the Anointed One.
They denied the Father and the Son. 1 Jn 2:22-23
They denied the Father and the Son. 1 Jn 2:22-23
Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also.
They are liars, the truth is not in them.
Satan is the father of lies Jn 8:44
You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
Jesus warned against false christs, false prophets and false teachers who would arise in the last days. Mt. 24:5; 24
For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray.
For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
The deception will be powerful. Mt 24:24
The antichrist, the man of lawlessness will desecrate the Holy temple of God and will set himself up to be worshipped as god. 2 Thess 2:1-12
The antichrist, the man of lawlessness will desecrate the Holy temple of God and will set himself up to be worshipped as god. 2 Thess 2:1-12
Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers, not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

WHOEVER DOES THE WILL OF GOD ABIDES FOREVER 1 Jn 2:17
WHOEVER DOES THE WILL OF GOD ABIDES FOREVER 1 Jn 2:17
And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
You have been anointed by the Holy One 1 Jn 2:20-21; 27
You have been anointed by the Holy One 1 Jn 2:20-21; 27
But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge. I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth.
But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.
You have knowledge of the truth.
It teaches you to abide in Him.
God furnishes with armor so we can stand in the battle, but we must put it on. Eph 6:10-20
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.
A great battle has been raging since ancient times and is nearing its climax. It is a fierce war between Good and Evil, Heaven and Hell, Truth and Lies, God and Satan. The whole human race is caught up in this battle whether we realize it or not. The souls of men, women, boys and girls hang in the balance.
Putting on the armor = abiding relationship in Him and His Word.
Belt of Truth (“I am the Way, the Truth and the Life”; “Sanctify them in the truth, your word is truth”)
Breastplate of Righteousness (His righteousness, not ours)
Shoes of readiness of the gospel of peace (Sharing our peace with others)
Shield of Faith (faith comes by hearing the Word of God)
Helmet of Salvation (Yeshua)
Sword of the Spirit (Word of God)
Pray at all times in the Spirit with all prayer and supplication
Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world! 1 Jn 4:3-4
In Christ we are more than conquerors! Rom 8:31-39
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
They overcame Satan by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony for they loved not their lives even unto death. Rev 12:11
