The New International Version Psalm 32
10 Many are the woes of the wicked,
but the LORD’s unfailing love
surrounds the one who trusts in him.
11 Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous;
sing, all you who are upright in heart!
I have been thinking a lot in the past few weeks and months about how crazy a time we live in…
The years began so well for many if not most of us!
We had high hopes of what was going to happen...
And then March comes along and things go absolutely crazy!
Seems like we are surrounded by a virus that wants to make us all afraid of each other.
Our whole nation comes to a screeching halt.
People are afraid to go to work.
Many of you probably went weeks without seeing family and friends.
Only going out when it was absolutely necessary.
And then when it seems like it could get no worse...
All the civil unrest heats up to level that we have never seen before.
Peaceful protests turn ugly
We are cast into a deeper fear than every before!
If one listens to the TV and Media to much, one can become overwhelmed with fear.
What are we supposed to do!
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding.
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
I want to encourage you today to simply trust in the Lord!
The enemy of our soul is trying to make us forget the peace that we can have when we love Him!
I am reminded of the story found 2 Kings 6
15 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?
16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.
17 And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
We are surrounded by God!
