Call to National Revival
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD… (Psalm 33:12)
1.) We Need a Revival Born in Prayer.
“6 Will
you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? 7 Show us your unfailing love, LORD, and
grant us your salvation.” (Psalm 85:6-7)
“If my people…will humble themselves and pray…” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
“They all joined together constantly in prayer…” (Acts 1:14)
”31 After
they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit
and spoke the word of God boldly. 32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of
their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. 33 With great power the apostles continued
to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all.” (Acts
4:31-33)
2.) We Need a Revival That Brings Holy Living.
“6 We
all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way…” (Isaiah 53:6)
“9 Hide
your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. 10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a
steadfast spirit within me. 11 Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore to
me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. 13 Then I will teach transgressors your
ways, so that sinners will turn back to you.” (Psalm 51:9-13)
“18 Then
we will not turn away from you; revive us, and we will call on your name.
Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.” (Psalm 80:18-19)
19 Restore
us, LORD God
3.) We Need a Revival That Builds in Evangelism.
“38 Peter
replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of
your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for
all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.” 40 With many other words he warned them; and
he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” 41 Those who accepted his message were
baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.” (Acts 2:38-41)
“He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the LORD and put their
trust in him.” (Psalm 40:3)
