He planned for our arrival into this world.

He knows us better than we can ever possibly know ourselves.

Jeremiah 29:11 - Not only does God call us by name, and know our outer and inner characteristics, but God has planned a future for us.
For Jesus says in John 10:10 - “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
He wants us to be successful and not be harmed.
But, what has our response been to this awesome God in the past?
\\
\\

It all started in the literal Garden of Eden.

From here, sin entered the world, and has affected all of mankind since.
Whether we realize it or not, we rebel and sin against God every day.
\\ Romans 3:22 – Yet, despite our constant sin, God wants to bridge the gap between Himself and us.
\\
\\
!!! 5.)  God went further: He sent His /son Jesus/ to this earth and /died/ for us.
Romans 5:8 - God sent his one and only son Jesus, to die for us and to wash our sins away.
\\ Isaiah 1:18 - And He didn’t only partially wash away our sins.
He completely blotted out all records of our transgressions: He gave us everything in His death.
\\ John 15:13 - Christ didn’t just die for his friends, because, in fact, He really didn’t have any true friends.
Even his own disciples deserted Him in His final hours.
Even Peter, the Rock, denied he even knew Jesus three times, even though he had witnessed all of what Jesus had done for three years.
Instead, Christ died for those who hated Him.
Christ died for the ones who mocked Him, who spat on Him, who shoved a crown of Thorns on His head, the ones who sent Him to Calvary and who nailed Him to the Cross.
The very Cross that washes our sins away.
Christ died for us.
\\ But that wasn’t the end.
The God whom we serve is not a God of the dead.
On the third day, Jesus rose from his grave; he defeated death, he defeated Satan, he defeated sin itself.
He rose and is now seated on the throne next to God, watching over all of us.
\\
\\

You see, God made us the pinnacle of His creation.
For he breathed the breath of life into us and made us in the image of God.
God loves us above everything else in His creation, we are His prized possession; He will take care of us.
\\ So, how do we respond now to this awesome gift of grace and mercy, this love that is unending?
\\
\\
!!! 7.)  God calls us to be /conformed/ to the likeness of His son.
We now know how much of value we are to God, so how do we now respond?
We respond by realizing that we need Him to take control.
We respond by realizing that on our own we can not run our own lives; we are imperfect and make far too many mistakes.
We must give God our heart.

For God is the only one who is worthy of all our praise, our worship, and our devotion.
So, let us say to God, above all our distractions: *“I choose You!”*
