The Matrix

Here are the sermon topics we are going to use each week.  This should help with getting media, dramas, and decorating ideas.

February 12 – Peter   “Welcome to the Matrix” (an introduction)

February 19 – Karl  “He still  needs a lot of work”

-         the idea is that Neo was “reborn”, but that he still needed a lot of work.  Just because we get saved, that doesn’t mean that everything is done.  God wants to mold us and make us into the people He wants us to be.

February 26 – Robin  “My belief doesn’t require them to”

-         Morpheus is told that not everyone believes what he believes, and he says that his belief doesn’t require them to.  The idea is that God’s truth does not depend on people and what they believe.  God is truth no matter what.  Some thoughts on this topic could be that there are all kinds of people believing all kinds of things, but there is only one way to the Father, and that is through Jesus.

March 2 – Mike  “I choose the Matrix”

-         There are those who know the truth, but they choose to live the way they want.  They know how they should live, but they choose not to.

March 9 – Marc  “The One”

-         How can He be the One if He is dead?  Jesus rose from the dead.  He is our Savior.  This message will introduce us to our next theme – “The Cross”. 

Drama – There will be a drama on February 12, 26, and March 9.  The one on March 9 may be more appropriate if it is serious.  The other 2 can be humorous.
