It seems to many that God’s love is strong at times and nearly imperceptible at others. This notion is based on a false standard. It is to judge the quality of God’s love by our experience of it rather than his affirmation of it. In Malachi’s day Israel took this error to a new level judging God’s affirmation by their experience. God affirmed his love for them and they required evidence. The very ground of our hope in Christ for a glorious future is the unchanging quality of God’s love.
