Our Christian Life

John 1:12 “But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.”

THE WAY TO OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE

Our Way to the Father is only Through Christ—John 14:6 “Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. Christ is not “a” way, but “the” way.....Acts 4:12 “There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

The Way to our Christian life is confession and Repentance...1 John 1:9 “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. Life is Through confession and Repentance...

Confession of sins, Admitting you are a sinner. All men are born in sin, Romans 3:23 “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.”

Confessing our sins to the Savior. This scripture is the Word of God I use to have new receivers of Jesus to read.....—Romans 10:9–10. Confessing our sin to God, then confessing Christ before men. Romans 10:9-10 “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”

One Point I want to make here,,,,,,,You cannot be a secret Christian.

I’ll say it again, The Way to Christian Life is ...THE WORK

“Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” In other words, there are things for us to do. THE WORK.....Philippians 2:12 “Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear.”

How much.....or should I ask “how little” are you willing to be doing for the Kingdom of God?

Each day you must choose to live for God, these are our daily choices. No one can choose for you. You must choose right from wrong, to do or not do, to love or not love, to be honest or to not be honest.......

After watching our news a little, watching FB videos around this country, why is it that some are not only not in control but they are “totally out of control?” Let’s discuss this Daily control for a moment. We must practice discipline all the time. We cannot do as we please without thought. We must follow God’s laws and regulations.

Have we committed our Daily consecration. We must give our life and body to Christ, allowing Him to control our actions, attitudes, and affections.

OUR WALK, IS OUR WALK NOTICEABLE TO ALL WE MEET EVERY DAY?

The Bible speaks of the “Christian walk” meaning how we live.

Others see our “Attitudes” our “cockyness”, our “hard hearts”

Does our walk include our “selfish” Ambitions? Are our “ambitions always selfish? I don’t think so.....—Paul tells us in Philippians 3:10, “I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, So you see, Paul had just One ambition—to know Christ, to seek Christ, to love Christ.....

Is our walk passing on our Affections to Jesus? Is our walk passing on our affections to others? Matthew 22:37–39 “37 Jesus replied, “ ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.”....... You cannot really love God without loving others can we? NO

AS A CHRISTIAN, WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WAR

As a Christian, we are in a threefold war:

We are in a WAR Against the world. Christians are told not to love the world, or the pleasures of the world.........John tells us:

1 John 2:15–17 “15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

We are in a War Against the flesh. Those in the flesh (living for self and sin) cannot please God. Paul tells us in Romans 8:8 “That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.”

We are in a war Against the devil. We don’t wrestle against flesh and blood (man), but against the devil himself. We have observed and been involved in Satan’s works through people.

As a Christian, we are also involved in THE WONDER of Jesus Christ.........

Many wonders or miracles comes with salvation. Here are just three:

FaithHebrews 11:1 “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.

Hebrews 11:6 “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

Forgiveness, I just love this scripture........... 1 John 1:7 “7 But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. Forgiveness from all sin.”

We receive God’s Favors!!!!!AMEN

(1) Joy—Psalm 16:11 “You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.”

(2) Peace—John 14:27 “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”

(3) Hope—, John 14:1–3 1 “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. 2 There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? 3 When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.”..........

AMEN
