Psalm 139:23–24 NIV
Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
When we look in the mirror what do we see?
Lot’s of times our reflections are not too impressive to us. We often find lots of flaws and failures revealed. Through constant observance of this reflection we are constantly trying to try and change in order to improve that reflection.
There is only one true reflection of who we are, there is only one source who can accurately reflect our true identity.
We cannot hide anything from Him. He knows all. To know yourself, who you really are, look to Him, the one who knoes us best. Better than all others.

God knows us well. He knows all of us.

Psalm 139:1–6 NIV
You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
According to these veres God has searched us and knows us.
He knows our thoughts, desires and needs. He knows all of our ways. God knows it all before we do.
He knows us perfectly, far beyond any knowledge we have of ourselves.
Every action, every understanding, and the manner in which we pursue our lives or act in various situations.
He knows us well. This brings me so much comfort.
He knows the words we will utter before we even think of them.
To fathom this closeness and the knowledge God has for is is difficult. We could never comprehend it.
We have someone who we count on in our lives. We may have someone whom we call our best friend, someone whom we confide in and trust. That person knows us well.
He or she may be able to finish your sentences or know what we are thinking just by a facial expression. This happens because there is a shared closeness. There is a lot of time spent together. No matter how close one is to anyone it does not even come near the closeness shared between human being and God. Our closest friendships are small in comparison to how well God knows us.
Verse 6 uses words “too wonderful for me” this phrase is referring to God’s knowledge. Saying that God’s knowledge is a wonder to me, beyond my human capacity. According to the Hebrew, this phrase applies to God’s wondrous acts, in other words His miracles. His miracles are too wonderful for me to attain. God knows us so well because we are His creation; we are one of His wondrous acts.

God created Us

Psalm 139:13–16 NIV
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
Created is a word that is mentioned in verse 13. The Hebrew for this verse is the same as “brought forth”, meaning the innermost center of emotions and of moral sensitivity - which God tests and examines when He searches a person. Low self esteem should never even be an issue with a Chrisitian because when you insult yourself you are insulting God.
You are His creation made wonderful in His image.
Genesis 1:26–27 NIV
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
God made us all in a marvelous way!
