The Anointing

Ecc 3:1 For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.
INTRODUCTION
Good morning Southpointe!! I am glad to be back home!! We have a wonderful vacation but it always nice to go and great to come home.
I want to talk to this morning about having the anointing in your life.
To try to get an understanding of this I want to introduce you to Deborah and what you will find about is that she is quite impressive.
Judges 4:4 Deborah, the wife of Lappidoth, was a prophet who was judging Israel at that time.
Deborah was a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth and she was performing duties as the judge of Israel.
Have you ever met someone after seeing their confident and hearing about their accomplishments that you feel intimidated, inadequate and insignificant?
But this is one big thing here: God speak to you or someone gives you a prophetic word and tells you all the wonderful things you are supposed to accomplish for the Lord.
But within yourself you are saying “They missed it big time with that prophecy or you are saying to God, I am sorry but I am thinking that you are talking to the wrong person.
And It is all to the fact that you are thinking about your past or could be your present reality.
And it is very hard to find the faith to receive those words as a real possibility.
But I want you to take a moment this morning and repeat as me>
Ecc 3:17 For there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.
There is a time and seasons for the call of God’s anointing in our lives.
We are to operate in the timing and seasons of the calling of God in our lives. And for many of us we have gone thru many difference seasons.
When we look at Deborah, She was a middle aged woman who had probably gone through many seasons in her life before she reach this point in her life.
Because the call of God is progressive. God will mature you gradually into the fullness of His plan.
I truly believe the Lord will mold and shape you for the anointing by using all of your life experiences.
You see, her hat you may wear and every role you may play will be very important in your expression of the anointing.
But this is what I am leading to: A very strong piece of advise.
The best way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time.
If you are like me I want to accomplish everything that God has for my life. So I see and feel God calling and pushing me and I something and looking into the future and then I get to thinking I don’t have must time left to fulfill all that I feel God has spoken in my heart.
So I try not to get overwhelmed. And I just keep on dreaming and saying yes to God in my heart.
The call of God takes time to develop. God moves in cycles, patterns, times, and seasons.
The Call of God on your life will have times and season of development and patterns designed by God for implementation.
When we start understanding time correctly, you can grasp God and His purpose for your life.
Act 17:26 and he made of one every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed seasons, and the bounds of their habitation;
God has determined our appointed times in advance.
If you are going to embrace the call to successfully walk in the anointing, you must learn to discern the times and seasons that God has already ordained for your life and properly align your actions with His timetable.
One of the keys to Deborah successfully fulfilling the call of God on her life was that she had an ability to discern the times and seasons of God.
Now this is what I think we don’t see in the Word of God is that men and women of God had other responsibilities, Deborah was a wife, judge and prophetess.
She was a busy person and she understood the important of understanding time.
Many scholars believe Deborah was from the tribe of Issachar. If Deborah was from this tribe, she had the characteristic of Issachar.
So discerning times and seasons was in her DNA.
1 Chronicles 12:32 And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.
So the essence of Deborah anointing was to understand that God has a calendar and that He has scheduled times for blessings, deliverance and even war.
There is nothing more important than time. Time is the measure of life. The quality of your life is determined by how effectively you use time.
Time is an interruption of eternity. God created time, God place mankind in it, but God doesn’t live in time.
Time was created to measure life and to take man out of eternity because eternity is timeless.
This is what I want you to know today, our time in life begins in Him and ends in Him. He is the A to Z.
Jesus reveals Himself as the beginning and the end.
Jesus has already walked through our lives. He has something for us to do every day.
He fashioned our days before they ever existed. Our times are in His hands.
Ecc 3:1 For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.
God has a destiny for each one of us, but we must learn to move our feet according to the His perfect time.
It is so important to discern the spiritual seasons of our call.
Gal 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
God has a timetable for you to manifest your calling. He has a due season or appointed time.
Just like there’s four season, winter, spring, summer, and fall, there are also four spiritual seasons of winter, spring, summer, and fall.
Spiritual winter: a time of death to self.
Winter is the season with the shortest days, limited sunlight and coldest temperatures.
Winter is a time when people want to stay inside and hibernate.
Winter is a time when you might feel cold and uncomfortable.
Any farmer will tell you that winter is not a time to plant but to begin planning what to plant during the next season.
Our spiritual winter can seem like a time of darkness, as if your life is unfruitful, and you may assume you dreams are dying.
During the winter there is no fruit bearing. It is a time when God kills everything in your life that will affect the harvest of the next season in your life.
Spiritual winter is the most uncomfortable time for many Christians.
But this is a season to redefine and develop your relationship with God.
This is when God is develop your root system in Him. God will give you directions for planting new corps in spring.
Spiritual winter is a time for evaluation, planning and preparation. It is a time for letting go of anything that will destroy your call.
