Children Of Israel Were Brought To Egypt For Provision
Severe famine in the land
Jacob and his family went to live with Joseph who found favor with Pharaoh.
Jacob sets them up in Goshen. In years to come, the
The COI grew more and mightier than Egypt
And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation.
And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them. Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph. And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:
5. Eventually they confronted Pharaoh - ten plagues
6. Went into the wilderness to worship.
God Delivered Them But They Kept Compromising
1. Losing Contact with God
2. Doubt and unbelief
3. Murmuring (private expressions of discontent) and Complaining (annoyance at something)
Moses made extra work for them - Ex. 5:1-22
Leave us alone - no Graves in Egypt? - Ex. 14:11-12
The water was bitter - Ex. 15:24
They were hungry - wish we were back in Egypt - Ex. 16:1-4 (Get Manna)
They were thirsty - kill is with thirst - Ex. 17:1-4
The giants in the land - Num. 14:1-10
Keep Your Eyes On the Source, Not Resources
Seek After The Provider Not the Provision
Manna in the wilderness
Quail up to the waist as far as the eye could see.
Budding staffs with almonds overnight
StrikIng rocks for water
Speaking to other rocks for water.
ill - miracle after miracle.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper.
And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
Egypt Is A Place Of Bondage
Determine you aren’t going back
Leeks and garlic won’t lead you back
Pharaoh won’t intimidate you.
How We Get To Wandering
Lose contact with the Lord.
Murmuring and complaining - God isn’t good enough.
Doubt and unbelief - questioning God
It began in the garden when Eve entertained satan’s lies.
Results Of The Wilderness
Diminished Destiny - died in the desert

How To Hold Onto Your Promised Land.
Handle the good report well.
