Hebrews 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.’

Introduction

Today people are fascinated with Royalty!
January 18, 2020, Bloomberg reports:
“Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are stepping back from their royal duties “with great sadness” after concluding they had “no other option,” the Duke of Sussex said.
READ: The couple agreed this weekend to relinquish their “royal highness” titles and pay back public money spent on renovating their home near Windsor Castle, letting them build a life away from intense scrutiny as members of Britain’s royal family.”
Jesus has an ever lasting throne!
His throne will never be relinquished
His title will never be lost
His reign will be forever and ever!
Hebrews 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.’
Note: Jesus is called God, by the Father.
Hebrews 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
Jesus was not a mere prophet, or good teacher, as some falsely say.
Jesus has a throne. Jesus has a sceptre of righteousness. This symbolizes his kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom of righteousness.

Where is His Kingdom?

Right now in Heaven (John 14:1-3)
During the Millennium it will be in Jerusalem: Jesus will reign on Earth for 1,000 Years
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
3. After the Millennium, He will make a new heaven and a new earth.
Revelation 21:1-5 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
Jesus is still on the throne, because he is still on the throne, we must learn to trust him, and serve him, and obey him.
We are going to see two attributes of God’s Throne

A Place of Sovereignty

Isaiah 66:1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
Psalm 66:7 He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.

God does Know, and God does Care!

There is a false teaching called Deism, that describes God as one that is not actively involved in His creation.
DEISM “A philosophical view of God that posits God as a Creator who set the universe in motion and then stepped back, no longer actively engaging with creation.”
Source: The Lexham Bible Dictionary (Bellingham, WA: Lexham Press, 2016).
Some people get the false perception, that God does not really know what is going on in the Earth, God does not concern himself with us, OR, they have false idea, that God simply does not care about us.
NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH
Matthew 10:29-31 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
God is still on the Throne, and God cares about you and me.
Review: A Place of Sovereignty

A Place of Beauty

Revelation 4:1-3 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. 2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. 3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
The throne was the first thing he saw, and noticed. It’s one of those things, you just CANT miss the throne.
The Bible describes God and heaven as diamond like, shinning, and glittery.
Diamonds are very expensive because of their rarity and beauty.
Revelation 21:11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

Have you ever heard of David Livingstone?

He supposed to be a famous missionary to Africa.
He is known from “Discovering” a massive waterfall which he named “Victoria” falls after the queen.
Today Tourists travel thousands of miles to see it’s beauty
The water mist from the falls could be seen for miles, and at times multiple rainbows could be seen

Niagara Falls

much closer, it is so massive it is overwhelming

Paul’s Heavenly Journey

2 Corinthians 12:2-4 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. 3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) 4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
Philippians 1:21-24 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. 23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: 24 Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.
Would you like to see the Beauty of Heaven, God, who is the light of Heaven sitting on the throne...
John 3:3-7 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Conclusion

Jesus is still on the throne, because he is still on the throne, we must learn to trust him, and serve him, and obey him.
Jesus dwells in beautiful place called Heaven, it is a beautiful paradise…And you can live their with God, if you become his child.

Sinner, The Thief on the Cross found Salvation

Luke 23:42-43 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Christian, God is still on the Throne

He has not given up his Sovereignty, he is still in charge, we can trust him, there is no need to worry.
