Part 2: Where Is My Answer?
WHERE IS MY ANWER TO PRAYER?
1.) Maybe You Need To Forgive Someone.
Mark 11:24-25, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
1 John 4:20; Matthew 5:23-24
1 Peter 3:7, “Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.”
2.) Maybe You’re Asking With Wrong Motives.
James 4:3, “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your own pleasures.”
Proverbs 16:2, “All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the Lord.”
3.) Maybe You Lack Faith.
Mark 9:22-23, “…if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.” “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes.”
4.) Maybe You’re Asking For Something Outside God’s Will.
1 John 5:14-15, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us–whatever we ask–we know that we have what we asked of him.”
WHAT DO I BELIEVE ABOUT PRAYER?
Daniel 3:17-18, “If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and He will rescue us... But even if he does not.... we will not serve your gods.”
I believe God can.
I believe God will.
But even if He does not, I still believe.
