Have your Bibles I'd like you to turn to the third chapter of 2nd Timothy.

Want to speak with you just a little while this morning. And and I want you to keep this in mind if you will is as we're reading the scripture and we're going to a couple of different places, but

I want each and every one of us to realize and then this goes from the youngest to the oldest. Each and every one of us. We never realized. the lies that we took

we have no idea and sometimes it's a good thing. We have no idea who's watching this at any particular time.

but I just I want us to keep in mind as we're reading the scripture this morning or are we living in a time where times are dark?

And it does make a difference.

How We Believe And how we react to the things that are going on around us.

2nd Timothy chapter 3 going to start reading with the first verse.

She's this know also that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves Covetous boasters proud. blasphemers disobedient to parents unthankful Unholy without natural affection affection scuse me trucebreakers false accusers incontinent fierce despisers of those that are good Traders Haiti high-minded lovers of Pleasures more than lovers of God

We thank you for allowing us together this morning Father father. We thank you for the Sunday school. We thank you for the songs that have been song Father in that father ask you to bless this the reading that I work father. I pray that you just give me the words that you would have me to say and father. I pray that you for be one here this morning that knows not Jesus Christ as their personal savior father. I pray that you just showing me that there is a need for Jesus in their lives father. I pray that that act on that deep before Chevrolet Mystic too late. I can't help but thank is as trying to read those verses of scripture except. that it could almost be a newspaper article. on today's newspapers It could almost be the headline on the news stations that is if they didn't gloss it over and put it the way they want it to be. I'm probably not going to be very politically correct this morning. That's all right. We going we going to get through this if we can Lord's willing. But folks there's not a one of us, so don't know basically what's going on. And and it's Paul was telling Timothy there we're getting in those times were all of these things are being fulfilled. brother has been preaching on this for several weeks now and and thankful for the word that he's been bringing. but as a whole I don't know maybe in standing and looking back just a little bit.

Yes. The world concerns me. Yes, the sin that's running rampant in this world scares me.

But and it's this is a big butt.

The reaction of God's children to what's going on today scares me even more.

I guess I need to say aggravated most today that's reason I look at it cuz it always aggravates me. But I can complain to my wife at William and you don't have something to complain about. border

different, it's come up every day on the nnn. I'm thankful for those that aren't that stand up. That are trying to really make a difference. I actually need a comment that's been floating around for several weeks now, but something to the effect that not watching. For all of the end time happening now, but is already we're listening for the trumpet. And folks let me go ahead and say this I think that's how close we are. I really do. I really do. Acts chapter 1

I really think we're we're getting close folks. I can't see and I'm not I'm not in control and I thank God I'm not in control and I won't even begin to predict times and all I agree with Brother Brad whole will he completely that there's no one the Bible tells us. There's no one that knows the day that Jesus Christ is going to return. But I do believe it's imminent. It's getting to where? Everything that you do if you start reading prophecies that have to take place before he returns the things that haven't happened to getting to be a shortlist.

and I think we as Christians and this message this morning is based directly to us as Christians. We as Christians should be Aware of the Assassin and looking forward to the return of Jesus Christ. But I also believe it we have some responsibilities.

Acts chapter 1 verse 6s. When they therefore will come together. They asked of him saying Lord will file at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel and he said unto them it is not for you to know the times or the seasons which the father has put in his own power. But you shall receive power after that. The Holy Ghost has come upon you and you shall be Witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the Earth. And when he had spoken these things while they beheld he was taking up. And a cloud received him out of their side and while they look steadfastly toward Heaven as he went up behold two men stood by them wide apparel.

Which also said you men of Galilee? Why stand ye gazing up into heaven this same Jesus which is taking up from you into heaven. Shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven. The water for promising should a h i mean bless her heart. It's Shouting ground if you will That that we're not going to have to put up with all this forever. But Jesus Christ is going to return but there's an important message there that was delivered to his disciples and thereby delivered to us.

They heard what Jesus said it, but he told him he's coming again. Then why watch then go up into the clouds in it? I can I see it in my mind's eye every one of them standing there with her mouth about this wide open get on. looking

and we'll we should be anticipating. But then the angel appeared to him says that hot. But he's done told you what's going to happen. And we have that promise that he's going to return and of course, I'm paraphrasing here, but we have that promise that he's going to return and if he promised it it's going to happen. No doubt about it. If you don't believe that every promise that Jesus Christ made is going to take place reads book. It's been proven over and over and over again.

And he tells him sis. You know he's going to come back.

And I'm afraid. That too many of God's people in this day and time that we're living in have gotten to the point that work seeing is growing. So rapidly that all they know to do is to look to God's word and look at the promise that Jesus Christ is coming again, and I'm afraid we as God's church or standing around. Come on with our mouths open.

Waiting for him to come back.

And you say will Preacher what's wrong with that? Adding 40 lifters here to do. That's what's wrong with it. That ain't what he left us here to do.

We should rejoice. And looking forward to his second coming. but Don't just stand there looking for you. Tell somebody's coming back. Turn back over to 2nd Timothy chapter 3.

2nd Timothy chapter 3 again. We going to pick up where we left off. I mean verse 14

times are hard.

As I was reading those versus a scripture in the first part of that that that chapter and all that need talkin about all the evil in all. the thought that kept coming to my mind is we're not just talking about the people that make no professional face.

Too much of those verses of scripture or describing people that make a profession of Faith, but just like that versus future tells us they they have a form of godliness.

But they don't know anything about the power they deny the power thereof. And basically what that is is that they have I might have a head knowledge of God's words, but they don't know the god of the word. They've never accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and see that's what scares me in this day and time. There are people out there that are relying on some of these wolves in sheep's clothing if you will and these false prophets and these promises that are being made and we as God's children aren't standing up. To show them that there is a difference that it's not about this. I'm okay. You're okay and it ain't about scientology or anyting else folks. It's about Jesus Christ in the blood that he shed on the cross of Calvary and whether or not we've accepted that blood as payment for your in my sense.

2nd Timothy chapter 3 verse 14 says But continuing the doctor and it's and this is Paul speaking to Timothy suits continue the things we learned. It has been assured of knowing of whom thou Hast learned them. Reminding us folks. Not only to know God's word. But know that Jesus Christ is the reason that we read and study God's word and follow after God's word and that from a child Al has known of the Holy scriptures which are able to make the wise unto salvation. Through face, which is in Christ Jesus.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for Doctrine for reproof for correction for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be fully. Excuse me may be perfect thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Paul Paul put whole load on Timothy right there. I mean he did about what was going to happen. Heal a dino fully about the things it was going to happen and how much persecution that he would get and how bad things were going to get and different things. But he also told him that basically told him that God's word is provided for us.

We have a way to make it through. And not only by what I'm saying is that not only make it through. But share Jesus Christ in order that others might go through with us.

folks times are hard. It's scary out there.

Hey, it's hard. And and I I say this honestly in and I look around at the young people that we have here today, and and I think about my grandkids and y'all was grandkids and great-grandkids, and it's hard to hold back the tears sometimes.

I made a lot of wrong choices in my life.

And I didn't always do the things that God wanted me to do.

But I didn't have his heart of world to live in in some of our younger ones is going to have to live in to I'll see you then.

Got her soon, as we're getting a lot better about this Ting and and I think God fart about not watching some much television. Okay. Aah just got to the point where it just you know, and I thank God for that. I thank God for that. The last thing I do now is I might turn the local news on enough for the weather man to lie to me.

And I don't think he necessarily does that on purpose but he's the one that wanted the job to be a Weatherman in East Texas. So I ain't got much I don't I don't feel very sorry for okay, but but you know what I'm saying?

are anti-god down.

Just in the past week. I've seen commercials that I would have never dreamed about seeing if public spread publicly Express in my lifetime the things that was going on.

The last styles that they glorify saying about this things are going to hell in a handbasket.

The wheels are being grieved. And things are getting bad. But we still have an out and if Jesus Christ. We still have a means of confronting the devil in all if that's what it's all about for. These people out there that are are following their following. The Devil is a devil is one do a distant, but they're still created by God and there's still hope for him yet. And that's why we need to stand up. You're right and Proclaim Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world. Is it going to be popular and I hope it ain't you ain't going to be popular. in fact It kind of scares me. If you are popular or be careful. You probably going down the wrong road. You're heading down the wrong Branch if you are popular. It's about to that point. We're at a time. And if so World scene where if we Stick with the truth. That's the last thing anybody wants to hear. Don't want the truth.

but folks I thank God for the truth. And that's Jesus Christ. He is the truth and he is the only way to heaven. And we need to stand up. For what we believe in. Let's go back to what I mention right there at first.

Some of us we think we don't have that much effect on other people.

I've even had people that profess to be Christians say what they don't really make any difference what I do because People don't pay any attention to me.

That's a lie from the Devil. That's a lie video. We're being watched.

I can remember when I was younger.

And what the older people would tell me in my parents would tell me and my grandparents and all in it. I can remember. Well, I was glad I had enough sense not to say this.

Cuz I don't feel been hunting my head somewhere and thank God for that to okay. I ain't going to make no work about that. Thank God for that. They love me enough that they would have done something about it, but I remember you used to fight with you. You poke you crazy. You don't know what you talkin about. I don't know if any of y'all was ever that way when you was young. I was a hard headed little boy. I was a smartass thing you'd ever come on. according to me

and now that I look back on my youth I was a dumb as a box of rocks was in good shape compared to me. Okay.

but folks we touch each other lie. People are watching.

And there you need to see Jesus in US. And I'm not pointing fingers this morning other than right here. Because this message is about dealing with self and our relationship to Jesus Christ. You say well, I don't know why I'm saying we will praise the lord. We need to act like it. I don't know we do. We need to act like it. We need to let the world know that we're proud of it. You don't practice the thing can get you in trouble either so world if you put that pride in yourself, okay, it'll get you to work. You can't get along with other people to get you to where you you don't want to forgive other people to get you to let me go ahead and say the word and I know this is a lot of people don't like to say this in front of the kids, but it's get you to hating people.

Private do all those things if it's in sales, but but if you want to have pride have pride in Jesus Christ and what he did on the cross of calvary. Have pride that God cared enough for us that he let his son die on that old cool cross and that's who we need to have pride in in the world ought to be able to see that pride and sees it that that's what we're most looking forward to is that return of Jesus Christ and that gifts things are bad right now, but I read the end of the book folks. It don't say bad. He wins in the end. It's up to us. We need to let the world know this in the life that we live. Ammonia uses for an example in and certainly don't well, I got two things. I got to say about you. Race 3 boys yo, most everybody know one and all and I'm I'm thankful for my son and who they are. But it amazes me.

When I look at them and see me in them. Why is it that I only see my bad habits? You understand what I'm saying?

And I didn't think it made any difference how I was acting back then. I didn't think anybody was necessarily paying attention.

But that's just one of the examples.

People watch children watch they look.

I'm going to pick on Kayla this morning and and and all and she don't. She don't really know this. But remember you put a song on Facebook back when all of this started, you know you sang and I can t tell you what it is right now. My brain is blank, okay?

but kind of never around her now, maybe seen her once or twice this year, but it's making a difference in that young child fly. I'm picking up Kayla, but If I knew about it, I could say the same thing about each and every one of us.

I think about teachers and having worked and worked in the school system. That always scares me.

Are we putting the right foot forward?

When it all comes down or hands are always tied to a certain extent around our jobs about so many things.

Those little ones I still know. I still know regardless and I thank God for Christian teachers because there's so many out there that aren't

But regardless of who we are we think we too old to make a difference if it will I never see anybody. There's somebody out there watching. And we have been equipped if we know Jesus Christ is our personal Savior and it will read God's word. We have been equipped to make a difference in your life if we'll just do it and leave it. It's up to us to make the choice. And folks it is a choice. It is a choice. And yes, sometimes we might stumble and sometimes we might react not quite the way we want to. Which gets what? even if that happens they can see if asking for forgiveness for when we do stumble and they realize that Christians aren't perfect, but they are forgiven. And that's the most important thing that we can show too much of the world wants to say what year you just think you're better than me because you're Christian do because I'm a Christian not know. I'm not better than you. But I do know that my sins have been forgiven.

And that's the difference in my life. Not who I am, but who he is.

Lot of things going on. We've got some choices to make even in the next few days voting's up. Pokes his time that God's children start voting God's way. And that's all I'm going to say about that. You got to make that choice.

But it it went along too far that people professing to be Christians. Don't vote their Christian convictions. And that's what's gotten Us in this shape. This whole world's going on in the things in this world. There's a lot of people out there that the complain about everything.

But you don't hear us Christians complaining about what they're doing does. Not enough. We need to stand up for Jesus. We need to reach out and love to a lost and dying world. We need to make a difference in the world that we live in.

If you say well, how can we make a big difference since I'm not talkin about making a big difference, but let me tell you this if you make a difference in one person's life and they come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ as their personal savior. It's a bigger difference than you could ever dream of. But it's not about making big differences. It's about serving God in the little things.
