The Art Of Precision and Protocol of the Episcopal Induction Chambers
The Art Of Precision and Protocol of the Episcopal Induction Chambers
Deputy Adjutant General Bishop Augustus Pullen
The Episcopal Induction of our Bishops is one of the most sacred services performed in the church, as individual men are elevated to the highest level of leadership and servitude. Accompanying this liturgical ceremony is the Consecration of these men to the office of Bishop. This service is always performed with the taking of Holy Communion. This occurrence is both solemn and joyous.
It is important to note that there is a misconception regarding the exclusion of the public during the induction of the bishops as being a “secret initiation” as oppose to it being a Sacred Solemn Service.
All of the activities involving the preparation of these services must be given appropriate time and planning.
These are the steps and protocols necessary for the process of induction to take place during our Holy Convocation:
1. Preparation
2. Class Instructions For Assisting AdjutantsPreparing,
3. Dressing and Sanctifying the Chamber for Induction
4. Practice with the Bishop Designees and their Spouses.
