Are your qualified for the Marriage supper of the Lamb?

Revelation 19:7–8 NKJV
7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” 8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
Ezekiel 14:20 NKJV
20 even though Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live,” says the Lord God, “they would deliver neither son nor daughter; they would deliver only themselves by their righteousness.”
Isaiah 61:10 NRSV
10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my whole being shall exult in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Zechariah 3:4 NRSV
4 The angel said to those who were standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.” And to him he said, “See, I have taken your guilt away from you, and I will clothe you with festal apparel.”
John 6:28–29 NKJV
28 Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” 29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”
Romans 4:4–5 NKJV
4 Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt. 5 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness,
It is obvious meaning that without the state of grace ( being justified through the work of the Jesus on the Calvary) no one enters heaven.
Matthew 5:16 NKJV
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
There are two Greek words that mean “righteousness”
Diakaiosune - imputed righteousness - When you believe in Jesus Christ, His righteousness (Diakaiosune) is imputed to us
Diakaioma - Righteousness manifested in act or an act of righteousness.
We are made righteous with His righteousness. When we live out our faith, we express that imputed righteousness in diakaioma, which is outworked righteousness, or an act of righteousness.
(Inward- in working - invisible faith / outward - out working visible faith - “righteous acts”
Dikaiomata - plural - fine line righteous acts of the saints.
It is a very searching statement - “His wife has made herself ready.”
The Church has made herself ready by her outward righteous acts.
The imputed righteousness of Christ will not avail for the bridal feast. It must be outworked righteousness - acts that we believers perform because of Christ’s gift of righteousness, given freely to us.
Oil in the Scriptures is a metaphor of the Holy Spirit, who brings us revelation of the Word and power for the ministry
Righteous acts - selfless exercise of the spiritual gifts
1 Corinthians 9:17 NKJV
17 For if I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if against my will, I have been entrusted with a stewardship.
1 Peter 5:2–4 NKJV
2 Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; 3 nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock; 4 and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.
VS 25 - This is not simply meet Him - have a meeting or an encounter -
1 Thessalonians 4:17 NKJV
17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

Acts of Righteousness

Faith is acts of righteousness (John 6:28 & Romans 4:4)
without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6)
Romans 14:23 NKJV
23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.
In Jewish culture there were 3 main “acts of righteousness”
Every devout Jew was expected to be a righteous person ( to be a “tzedakah) GK: ‘Dikaiosune’
(Tzedakah Box. Make a Tzedakah box this Hanukkah. The name of the Tzedakah box (pronounced "Sedaka") comes from the Hebrew word "tzedek," meaningrighteous. Jewish families use a Tzedakah box in their houses and synagogues to collect money for charities.)
They were expressed primarily through almsgiving, prayer and fasting
Sermon on the mount:
Scripture Reading: Matthew 6:1-8, 16-18 Focal Verse: Matthew 6:1
When you give alms
when you pray
when you fast
1. Have the right motive - for God's glory
2. Praying in secret
3. Fasting should be done in right motive
2. Financial Stewardship
Matthew 25:14–30 NKJV
14 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. 15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. 16 Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. 18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them. 20 “So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ 21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ 22 He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ 23 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ 24 “Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’ 26 “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. 27 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. 28 So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents. 29 ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
3. Social justice, philanthropy or charity
Judgment of the human beings
Matthew 25:31–45 NKJV
31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ 41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’ 44 “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’
