When reading scripture it's no surprise to find that proud boasting is detestable to God, even an abomination (Prov 16:5). But as we conclude the book of Galatians this Sunday, we find there is one matter in which we should boast: the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Paul highlights for us the reasons why a torturous method of execution in his day had most dramatically turned into Christians' one and only boast and how it so drastically alters our priorities in this present world.
