Good Morning Ladies, we are so glad you’ve joined today for a Quick Break .

For the next several weeks, our Quick Break is going to center around a word found throughout the Bible - that word is ABIDE
What comes to mind when you hear/see the word ABIDE?
Abide - definitions:
to dwell
to live
to remain/hang out/ linger
Grape illustration - The vine is what you attach to / what you cling to/ its your source-
If you allow God to be your vine, and develop a strong relationship with Him he will allow you to grow and flourish; allowing you to thrive.
BUT if you attach to a vine that isn’t healthy/everlasting - at some point that vine is going to stop giving you what you need - it will run out of nutrients and will not be able to sustain you.
Jesus spoke to His disciples before His crucifixion. He spoke words that would grow them, guide them, and sustain them through all of life’s challenges and ups and downs.
Those words are found in
9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.
10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.

What does it mean to “abide”? It means to keep in fellowship with Christ so that His life can work in and through us to produce fruit.

How can we tell when we are “abiding in Christ”?

This abiding relationship is natural to the branch and the vine, but it must be cultivated in the Christian life. It is not automatic
So for the next several weeks we are going to journey through the book of Isaiah and see from Scripture practical ways that we can cultivate this abiding relationship
